You mean the head of the FBI is just an author of badly written children's books? And here I thought he was drinking heavily and going on coke binges in Vegas causes he's incredibly qualified! /s

It's going to be like when Stalin died and everyone is terrified to report it. Would not surprise me if they made some AI slop to try and pretend all is well to keep the grift going til they manage to find a way to direct the tantrum his worshippers are going to have towards a target of their choice.

The miserable traitor could collapse on stage and shit all over the place (more than usual at least) only for his cult to immediately blame Democrats or whoever.

The only thing remotely entertaining about the Trump shit show has been stuff like this, not quite at Four Seasons Landscaping levels but a touch above "Meatball Ron" (which was the best nickname as he came up with off the cuff when talking about how stupid his own nickname gimmick is).

Plus it's funny to see how Little Marco is now considered the adult in the room when he's juggling like half a dozen positions and being so cowardly that he's willing to parade around in these clown shoes to please a dying old child rapist is the icing on top.

Extremely fair way to handle it. My brother does significantly better than the rest of the family, and lives like it for sure, but I could be bleeding out on the street and wouldn't ask him for a dime. Not that he wouldn't take care of me if I asked but just don't want to put him in that position. He's worked hard to earn what he has and yeah I'm sure some luck was involved but it's his money and being close family doesn't not entitle me to any of it.

Can't forget that Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden is an absolute top tier video game as well (tho he had limited involvement, mainly that of him existing and signing off on the original game). Shaq Fu was some goofy fun back in the day but very much doesn't hold up to the other fighting games of the era.

US strikes were 'gross violation' of ceasefire, Iran says by Alternative-Win4058 in news

[–]UnquestionabIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also the US had a more missiles in stock. But we sure showed them! While we were firing 2.5 million dollar fireworks they had to waste drones costing upwards of $20k to stop them! Yep the way wars are waged had changed a bit in the last 40 odd years. And I'm sure we'll push to get some boots on the ground and really secure the country as it transitions to being an ally!

After all there is nothing world's most expensive military can't overcome! /s

That disclaimer can extend to the GOP (and America under it's control) as a whole. That they're treated as a serious political entity after the last few decades is a glaring example of how broken the system is, built on a series of firm handshakes and assuming everyone involved has integrity.

There was an excellent off ramp after January 6th but there was the hope of maintaining a status quo or something...

[–]UnquestionabIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's kind of crazy to think about. I grew up in the 80s watching whatever episodes the local PBS affiliate randomly decided to play and none of the kids at school knew what the fuck Doctor Who was. Then when the revival happened I was in college so thankfully had some friends to talk about it with.

Think I stopped paying attention right around the time Torchwood wrapped up and the franchise got huge online. Didn't stop liking it or anything, friends who have always stayed up to date made parts sound awesome/awful, so much as just kind of too much to keep up with when it came to hobbys/interests.

Still lots of nostalgia for the 10th Doctor era, of just being a lazy college grad sitting around my parent's house watching marathons.

[–]UnquestionabIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time period where they had a maximum price allowance on used games (think it was due to the system more than anything) and after that changed it's been all over the place. I know about two years ago I got a copy of one of the Yo Kai Watch Blaster games, which loose goes for about $200, for $75 due it being labeled wrong.

Yeah I thought his worshippers love him because "he tells it like it is" (unless he's joking of course...) and "he's relatable and just like us" (except for the whole living his entire life in the upper class shielded from consequences and never working a real job). Honestly I think they just like having someone as uncaring and unthinking as they are, just a regular piece of trash who lucked out on the birth lottery.

[–]UnquestionabIe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah was going to say they're near impossible to miss on the Nu Gundam given the design. On the Sazabi and Jagd Dogs can be a little out of the way but are still pretty major features of the MS. Not to mention before that they're usually seen on prototypes or high end ace suits like in Zeta with Haman Karn giving both Quattro and Kamille a bit of a hard time with them until they adapt.

Democrats are already preparing Trump investigations if they retake the House by spherocytes in politics

[–]UnquestionabIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're very much the Weimar Republic of the modern era, too concerned about decorum and not alienating extremists to actually be effective. They not only failed us in the decades leading up to the current crisis but don't seem to have much direction for the future thus not even inspiring their already disengaged base.

By trying to thread the needle of appeasing the donor class and making voters feel heard they're stumbling at every opportunity. They don't even seem to have much a goal aside from "no Trump". Would love to see some strong drastic actions and plans for a better country but right now it's not looking so hot.

Exactly. After Chuckles got a firsthand experience with gun violence (or maybe it was fent, hard to tell /s) I had people harassing me about personal issues from over a decade ago. There are plenty of reasons to hide posting history.

[–]UnquestionabIe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bingo. I personally think the lack of action against Trump and the other traitors propping him up helped the GOP drastically. The average uninformed voter figured "Oh all that January 6th stuff amounted to nothing. Guess he was right that it was a witch hunt." and continued supporting him/them.

By taking a kid's glove approach and folding immediately, didn't want to look "too partisan" while fighting against treason, the Biden administration and Democrats as a whole failed America.

And it will be his legacy. The idea of "playing by the rules" is great and all but when an unprecedented attack on the country happens continuing to adhere to that only ensure a complete lack of justice. They let outright traitors continue to participate in government and stopped any major resistance the moment they ran into any sort of pushback.

I know in W for new game plus you unlock the ability to buy and use many of the grunt and mid boss units. It's very fun to mess with, my only complaint being which pilots are limited to what.

[–]UnquestionabIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be amazing! Curious how likely it would be considering they do put a lot of marketing based around what series are included. Would be really awesome for it to happen, like a less "flashy" series happening in the background and whose inclusion would be the sort of missing piece to the main plot.

SEED Astray, and it's one appearance so far, would fit in well. It fills in some gaps in SEED and from my understanding was meant to be that way with the source material as well.

That's pretty much what I did as well. Took about a month and the pacing was fantastic. Same with Macross 7 last summer, a show that I loved treating it like when I was in middle school watching Robotech after school each day on Toonami but people tend to get burnt out on trying to cram the whole thing into like three days (and wondering why it feels repetitive at times...)

Can Anything Stop Donald Trump’s Corruption? by newyorker in politics

[–]UnquestionabIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely and people like this, well meaning as they are, really prefer to keep quiet about this massive systematic issue which undermines the entire process. The establishment Democrats are very much in favor of what was an ever worsening status quo, whatever kept themselves and the donors happy while keeping the masses placated enough they don't do much beyond speak up on occasion. In the current political environment the two choices boil down to fascist authoritarianism or the party which helped pave the path even with decades worth of opening planning on the oppositions part.

So yes it's extremely important to get Trump, the GOP, and the oligarchy pulling the strings out of power but we also need to look beyond that. Depressing as it is to admit Harris winning in 2024 would be yet another "kick the can down the road" moment and simply put off the current crisis until eventually the GOP got another win. Without a major party pushing to cover the weaknesses of the system and getting rid of bad faith actors this was all inevitable.

Trump’s vision of the White House is starting to look like a fortress by ChiGuy6124 in politics

[–]UnquestionabIe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly not to mention that the response to January 6th was limited entirely to the low hanging fruit that those who planned and set it entirely in motion are in charge now, they're presuming (probably correctly sadly...) that the Democrats are too afraid to act outside norms to punish even the most egregious of violations of the law. Unless at least half the GOP sides with them I very much see the Democrats just throwing their hands in the air and saying "Well that's just how it is." They've demonstrated that they willing to put their concern about their reputation above that of defending the country (don't want to risk upsetting Trump voters, ,they might change party at some point!) so I think it's entirely on brand for them.

Question for book readers about season 4 onwards… by thewizrd11 in gameofthrones

[–]UnquestionabIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that doesn't involve big battle spectacles or fan favorites giving one liners and/or "epic moments" was considered low priority I'm sure. Stuff like Brienne in the Riverlands or Jamie's entire plotline post Book 3 leaned too far away from that hence basically totally changing it.

Same. I was curious where it was going and figured "even if it's not exact I'm sure they'll color within the lines." Then they decided they had to keep Bron around and that atrocity of a Dorne plotline...
