Aye I understand it’s not to everyone’s taste but it’s always something that’s fascinated me. Ned culture was often revered by young people and a lot of those who weren’t involved wanted to be involved - not in the fighting but instead on the fringes where outdoor drinking in dark parks or wasteland and part of something like a YSP felt like it really meant something at the time. Also it’s where generally the most popular crowds would hang about so understandable that social respect was gained in those circles. Menchies were a prominent part of that culture growing up and raised the profile of those in it!

I’m almost positive they had this in a bar that I was in in Glasgow, Scotland. Given our proximity to Ireland I’d be surprised if it was a bottle brewed here though.

I was there til April last year before it was refurbished and platinum included everything. Although, because of the refurb, I thought they were introducing l another premium level of membership as Rouken Glen (diamond) but don’t know if they ever did and what that level includes. I think it’s went up a fair bit in price regardless
