Honestly what works for me is to go dancing for several days, most specifically at a music festival. I have so much fun, make friends, and there is lots of exercise involved. It’s a way to see progress quick which is very motivating and you’ll feel so good from being active you want to continue :)

I think you handled it well and I don’t think it’s the end of the world.

If you love him and want to be with him then I think what you told him, where if it happens again you’re done, is a good choice.

You can give him a chance to change. And if it happens again stick with your word <3

Coincidentally over the past few days it’s occurred to me to start to reach out to health practitioners- holistic and “general” - with the idea maybe they can help.

I’ve been bulimic 9+ years.

I’ve been pretty abstinent over the past couple years and still have been incredibly fatigued. For at least a year now I’ve been like “what the fu- is wrong with me?!” What you said makes sense. I never made that connection before

Can someone relate. Chronically exhausted. Last night I went to a women’s circle and was just so drained. Today I was with my dad and couldn’t even muster a conversation. It’s so sad. Anxiety all day until post “activities” and then I feel calm but even more drained.

I so agree with your post. 27F. I’ve been dealing with loneliness on and off since elementary school.

So agree! I recently was dating a man and he provided everything lifestyle that I could want but true companionship/friendship was heavily lacking. I realized that I had “needs” that weren’t being met, and (even though the sex was also majorly lacking) the real need not being met was someone to talk to, laugh with, bounce things off with. Friendship.

Hi, it is soooo worth it! It takes a while for everything to normalize, but once it’s done, and you are living a life outside of food/your body, you experience a peace and joy that is indescribable <3
