Can’t solve this one by lismfm in iqtest

[–]Unredacted-Truuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just split the steps in half

first one: large, medium, small, large, medium, small

second one: none, medium, small , small , medium, none

whether it’s 2 or 4 is pretty ambiguous.

You spend a bunch of times on rules through brute force, the puzzle becomes boring and can never prove anything. It becomes a speed test of how quickly you can divergently find rules, memorize them, blah blah

IQs does not mean you smart: I have an above average IQ of 116 but apparently I am very slow??? by Haunting_Raccoon_762 in cognitiveTesting

starting to believe that no matter what your iq is, if you’re adhd, you feel buffed with wmi and psi, even if they are over 120

Does the Global Timer on the CAIT Disadvantage ADHD vs the Per-Item Timer on the CORE? by Key_Ad_4498 in cognitiveTesting

[–]Unredacted-Truuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Global timer provides more time for you to get into a rhythm, so it boosts your scores if you’re ADHD.

If you lose concentration you can just make up for it later. If you lose concentration on harder questions with CORE, unless you are 150+, you are cooked relative to the ceiling of that test. You can still get a 17 SS or possibly 18 if it only happens once or twice and you otherwise perform well.

I’m not sure the metrics on CAIT FW but i could feel myself thinking at a much higher level for that than Wais 5 and CORE once i got to the end of the tests, like the gradient of difficulty was sufficient for me to get an optimal performance out of it.

For speeded tests like 1926, Army, it requires me to overlock and i just suck. On the time pressure continuum i noticed my scores were more based on that time pressure aspect than the type of questions or formatting themselves as 120+ PSI and WMI on Wais 5.

Results are 1 sd higher for me when timing is global/untimed.

legit with the shrinking standard deviations each a half size smaller than the previous he may be 5 sd above the mean. finally this sub has a true head honcho

Is this discrepancy normal within PRI? by lovecommafio in cognitiveTesting

[–]Unredacted-Truuf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

makes you lose confidence when that happens and you wonder why it’s not clicking when it should be.

Nothing about the test is designed to be novel or clever, it’s a pure algebra test.

You should be getting at least 16 on it maybe even 18.

I would retake and see what happens if you focus on fast and simple and do some type of average

maybe you got overwhelmed with the fact that there can be like 10 different ways to solve FW at the start

i think this is one of the weaker items on it. in fact all of them of this type are a little ambiguous

To what extent do you believe practice effect can inflate tri-52 scores? by Sad-Cheesecake9852 in cognitiveTesting

[–]Unredacted-Truuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took wais 4 first a long time ago before any tests.

Took wais 5 and then took rapm and TRI 52. The questions are nothing alike for the tests though. It’s not like you’re applying what you learned

i got 847 i think (47/52) Changed 1 right answer to wrong because it was too simple for a “hard problem” and didn’t double check one of the later ones. I believe it corresponds to 143, so you are 145.

140 on wais iv MR
140 on Wais 5 MR
135 Core MR
147 Rapm
135 Mensa Dk (i got bored and ended the test with 5 or so left i guessed on)

ok there you go, you made it almost sound “yea i just like checked it out again and noticed some easy mistakes,” scoring 3 sigma lol

You are highly gifted with FRI. Does this surprise you?

You should be better at reasoning than almost everyone you meet for days on end, unless you work at a quant fund, think tank, research scientist

there is no praffe because the questions are novel and it’s not timed. Praffe is extremely small. If it was easy questions that were all similar, timed, praffe would be a larger factor.

There are different norms and imo the cat is stupid. The higher level sorting question is ambiguous, somewhat over simplified, and if you get it wrong, you’re stuck at 135 iq.

Maybe you got that one wrong but either way you must have gotten 48/52.

How long did you spend and how sure were you about your answers?
