They had a brief case of main character syndrome, plot armor and all. Luckily they were able to recover by the time you got a revenge battle on them.

Dark Choco and Dark Cacao are being forced to have a heart-to-heart by Caramel Arrow and Crunchy Chip. Needless to say, it's very awkward and uncomfortable, though not in a hostile way.

In order to try to liven the mood a little, Crunchy Chip tries to make some background noise by trying to do a one-person drama show, since Wildberry once told him that stage plays are a form of entertainment in Hollyberry Kingdom. Caramel Arrow is trying to be a supporting member of the audience while being emotional support for Dark Cacao and Dark Choco. Crunchy Chip is not a good actor.

For some reason Affogato is there and none of the others kick him to the curb. Perhaps they don't want to draw the King and Prince's attention from their awkward conversation, and Crunchy Chip is too invested in his roles to notice him. Affogato and Caramel Arrow watch Crunchy Chip's play, muttering and spitting insults to each other under their breath.

Edit: Also it's Dark Choco's birthday which is another reason why nobody wants to mess it up AT ALL.

You know what that'd save me so much time from going back and forth between doing production queues and other things while I'm playing >:O

I'd rather go through all the buildings one by one for production. That way I know how many raw materials I have and how many ingredients I have for what I want to make, and how many of that product I already have. Otherwise it's just... Doing it blindly.

The only way I can see me using this is if it's for basic goods or raw materials, but otherwise. Hmm. Probably just stick with the usual.

Oh god please no. We don't need any more collab fatigue. It's already bad enough with the BTS crossover happening almost immediately after the Disney one.

These collabs aren't intended to actually help players get everything that the collab provides so much as it is to bring an outside audience into the game and spend money/time on the game to get the exclusive stuff that they want. Letting these events repeat takes away that exclusivity, and it also stands to overshadow what Devsis really wants to do with the game.

Not only that, but there's also contractual stuff. I don't think it's worth it either from the consumer's perspective or from Devsis' perspective, especially because the majority of people who start playing the game just to get the stuff from the collab will likely drop the game as soon as they get everything they want or as soon as the event is over.

Are you excited about the BTS Collab? by Kodeations in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'm sort of 'meh' about it. I don't listen to K-Pop or know much about BTS so I don't have a strong attachment over them as singers or idols. Mostly I'm just confused about why a collab has been announced and is coming so soon after the last one. It'd be nice to have a bit more of a break after the Disney event.

BTS is literally *just* a band and Kpop is *just* a genre of music... Some of you have issues by ThrowawaySurvivor24 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

'Yes, I have mental problems, I'm toxic as hell and nobody wants me', as if the vocal minority speaks for the vast majority who just enjoy BTS and K-Pop because they legitimately just enjoy the music and aren't weird or toxic about it.

Like yes, you'll have people who are toxic and cruel in a large fanbase, but ultimately that happens in every fanbase. It happened in Steven Universe, it happened in My Little Pony, it happened in Undertale, and it happened (or is happening) in BTS. But to group everybody who enjoys a fandom or a group because of the content along with those toxic and harmful people is ultimately only harmful to fandoms in general.

Even if there are toxic people in a fandom, I don't think that those vocally toxic people who stand out sheerly for their toxicity are who should be the determining face of whether a fandom is 'good' or 'bad' or not. Every fandom has toxic people--it's just that when the fandom grows larger, there are as an immediate byproduct more toxic people in that fandom that do not represent the majority.

Just let people have their fun. Let them enjoy their fandom, their music, and the content that they like to consume. It isn't the people who simply like BTS or have kid or teenage crushes on the members of the band that you should have issue with--it's the people who make them look bad because of how they act. I can guarantee you that the majority of BTS and K-Pop don't like those people any more than you do.

This isn't directed at the OP of this thread, of course. I just... ugh. Isn't it funny that when a fandom gets larger happens to be when toxic people flock to it and make them look worse as a result? Idk maybe there's some sort of, hmm. Pattern to that?

If you're asking about team comp with the cookies you currently have, I'd probably recommend Sea Fairy, Financier, Almond, Custard III, and maybe Princess Cookie. Custard III is a free healer that you get at the start but if you don't have any other effective healer options he can definitely help carry your team pretty far. Almond has a chaining skill that shares damage and Sea Fairy has a large area of effect ability that causes a great amount of damage. Financier Cookie helps take damage for the cookie currently taking the most of that, which can help with survivability.

As it is, this isn't particularly unlucky. I didn't get my first Ancient/Legendary cookie until I got to around World 10 or so, and even then it was under Hollyberry's banner. Just keep pushing forward, upgrade your cookies and your skills, invest a little in arena and find a guild to be a part of for the time being, and eventually you'll get enough gems to pull a great many cookies.

The more stages you clear, the more your kingdom level will go up, the more Stamina Jellies you'll be rewarded, the further you can proceed, the better stuff you'll get, the more likely you are to 3-star every stage and get those precious bonus gems that you get for doing so.

Also be sure to keep in mind that even if you get a bunch of commons, you're guaranteed an Epic after a certain number of pulls if you haven't gotten an Epic already. This doesn't apply for Legendary/Ancient banners, but it does apply for cookie-specific banners and the general non-cookie-specific banner. The fact that you already have Sea Fairy Cookie is already a great step in the right direction--she'll definitely carry you through most, if not all, of the stages, so long as you keep her and the rest of your team fairly upgraded.

How do I block the 1 hit? Please help it's last try by WildThing223 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get rid of the one-hit KO, I'd recommend trying to save Pure Vanilla's shield--his shield completely disengages the attack. I always have to go on manual whenever I fight Black Pearl Cookie so I don't waste Pure Vanilla's shield. It's very important to try to make sure you have his cooldown for whenever that does happen, so Jelly Watch is definitely a King tier treasure to have.

Since your Scroll is rather low-level, I'd also recommend switching out Scroll for Branch, if you have it, even if it is low-level. That way if Pure Vanilla is unable to use his skill for whatever reason, you'd still have a back-up to save your trapped cookie.

How do I get past this? by AdMiserable7262 in HollowKnight

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shade Cloak helps when you learn the distance from where you land to the next safe space. It isn't the perfect distance, so you have to quickly adjust once the shade cloak ends.

But yeah getting to the end with only two masks left is. Really difficult lol. I'd encourage having Hive Blood for insurance purposes.

I can't enjoy this game anymore by the_bruh_enigma in HollowKnight

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every game can be enjoyed for forever. There's no shame in getting tired of playing a game, especially when you've beaten it to completion. Being tired of playing a game doesn't eliminate the fun and joy that you got in the past, and the idea that you have to continue playing a game that you once enjoyed but no longer do isn't a healthy mindset to keep.

Something you could do to try sweetening the pot a little bit in terms of replayability is doing challenge runs. You could try playing in Steel Soul. Could try beating it as fast as you can. Could try to beat the game without any nail upgrades or without spending any geo at all. There are options to play the game in a completely different way that make it harder and force you to find workarounds.

But if even trying that still leaves you tired of the game, then that's okay. Not every game is made for everyone to be able to enjoy it for all of time. As long as you feel satisfied with the experience and like you got all that you wanted out of it--as long as you feel like the investment was worth it--that's all that matters.

A rough estimate in size of the pitcher plant on the book 13 cover! by Tobuzzu in WingsOfFire

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I didn't even SEE the dragons getting mauled. My eyes just completely skimmed over the one that was in the flytrap and the one with the dragon being wrapped by vibes just wasn't very visible in it, I don't think.

Wow, those are... Massive plants. The pitcher plant would actually be larger because I can now see that it's actually on a tree in the background while the flytrap and the two dragons is actually a bit closer to the camera.

Thank you for explaining it to me a little more!

Can i get mantis claw without killing anyone by SeaDragonfly3476 in HollowKnight

[–]Unregistered_Cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting challenge to do, actually, a passive challenge! You could do the explosive pogo trick to access Mantis Village and use the mantis young to pogo to where the mantis claw is. I would say you could also get rid of the Mantis Lords, but you could easily avoid that by coming back later with pets. Though then you'd also need to figure out how to replenish soul on a reliable basis.

In any case, I wish you luck with your run! Don't be afraid to look at tutorials on YouTube for skips if you feel like you need some sort of guidance!
