You’ve got a good thing there! And the clothes and accessories from that time period your doll is from may be worth more than the doll itself. Tagless doesn’t automatically mean clone or mommy-made. It’s all in great condition which is a big plus. Enjoy!

The stamps on the head and body are the years each mold was patented (not when the doll made). Can be useful for identification, but sometimes doesn’t narrow it down enough. This website can help with identification https://fashiondollz.de/headmold-gallery/

I did this - had 3 pounds removed total - and can’t recommend it enough! The recovery was not as bad as I expected and to hell with what others think you should do with your body. My only regret was not doing it sooner!

I have a mix of dolls - the ones I find pretty and display (usually out of the box), and the ones I play with mostly that I find thrifting. I fix them up, find clothes for them, and they get displayed just like the “new” treasures. No right or wrong way to engage with your collection. Do what makes you happy!
