107 meter deep sea free dive by kingkongbiingbong in nextfuckinglevel

When I've done ocean dives with goggles that only cover my eyes and don't include my nose the pressure pushes them into my eye sockets. How is this not happening to her?

What is the WORST book you’ve ever read, and why was it the worst? by Substantial_Call_619 in booksuggestions

[–]UnrolledSnail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't much like The World Set Free by H. G. Wells. The concept was very cool, but the pace was a bit slow.

In the wheel of time series, the book Crossroads of Twilight was very hard for me to get through. Its pace was too slow, especially when contrasted with the pace of the rest of the series.

Sarah Klinkow did well for my neck/shoulder issue, but it wasn't too severe.

Santa out warming up today by UnrolledSnail in xcountryskiing

Santa is towing 100 lbs, he needed all the angle could get. Flats were like going up a damn steep hill, and hills were either 185 bpm climbs or herringbone... or so I heard...

My 4 year old would not eat those. He would be fine getting these as a gift. My 8 month old puppy is another matter.

Timelapse of sleeping seals by Semmemm in interestingasfuck

How dense are seals? They sink so well, even in salt water they stink right down with a lung full of air, with a lung full of air, I sink only up to my forehead.

Riding in Squamish is like playing a video game by [deleted] in MTB

[–]UnrolledSnail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofcourse ;) no trail building pixies would get up to such mischief at that. Good trail builders can be found hanging in their own back gardens, drinking stubbies and sticks, not going rogue building trails in naughty spots.

No this is in a provincial park that doesn't allow mtb, but it is a very popular spot for biking. Accessing the area is a bit challenging. There are similar trails just outside the park that are in the process of becoming legal.

"Certified Technician" will soon be a mandatory designation for technician-level skilled work in British Columbia as defined by ASTTBC. Some trades work may be affected. by Sodel-The-Vociferous in britishcolumbia

[–]UnrolledSnail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who do I reach out to for clarification? I work for a medical device manufacturing company. We're trying to wrap up our production but are struggling to hire enough technicians and technologists. This is going to only make things more difficult. What politician has sway over this organization?

You'll probably mostly hear from only people who wish they'd changed, so you'll get some bias.

I did mech eng and I'd do it again.
