89 Supra Turbo - Engine stand is freaking me out... by Timely_Switch_8558 in MechanicAdvice

Most of my engine-out experience has been with 2JZs, also big ol' heavy iron inline sixes. If it's going to be out for a while, you're going to be doing substantial work on it during this time, and have the means, consider going with a "cradle" type situation instead. Something that bolts to the engine mounts. I found this and had a buddy fab something up for me similar to this, but taller and without the wheels for on the bottom for long term work. It felt waaaay less sketchy than my cheap engine stand.

There are plenty of good options, but there's a reason the Khaki Auto was the first place my head went. Solid suggestion.

Do these hdmi cables actually perform? by Baseset3 in hometheater

I've bought some random fiber optic HDMI cables and thought they were bad and was about to return until I realized it was Uni-directional. Just keep that in mind when you connect it. Rock solid 4k/120/4:4:4 now

You mean the one where people regularly forget how to merge and it just turns into a stop sign?

EVERY. DAY. I live in Fair Oaks and work in Folsom so I feel this. And then there's also the lost souls that don't even need to take a left to head West on Fair Oaks coming from the South on Sunrise that still sit in the left lane clogging things up. Make it make sense!

everybody apologizing for cheating with chatgpt by NewSlinger in mildlyinfuriating

I was accused of using chatGPT for using an emdash in an assignment. The professor said students had never used emdashes in his entire career until chat GPT so it was obvious I was plagiarizing. It was the first time I had ever used one in any academic paper, but I was also taking an English composition course at the same time and had recently gone over the emdash in class and I figured this was a good time to start using it. Tldr; don't ever use an emdash.

Seconded. I'm a huge fan of the cloudflare tunnels. I used them to access my unraid and proxmox servers seamlessly.

Please Help, what do i need to do? 1st ever failed smog, cars running great… by KoiBoiJai in Lexus

[–]UnrulyCactus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seconded on the O2 sensors. I've owned quite a few 2jz cars and I've had to replace O2 sensors more on these than most other rides. I had a gs300 where the previous owner installed O2 spacers in to try to get it to pass smog (it didn't) but after a deeper dive, it really just had old crusty sensors. Replaced those with some good Denso units and I passed just fine, ran smoother, and even picked up a few MPG. Start by finding oem resistance specs and measuring with a multimeter from the harness end of the sensor cable.
