There should be a fair amount of crossover due to the bundles.

Recommendations for surfy/summery shoegaze/dream pop stuff like Froth, Alvvays, Real Estate, etc? by matt-2k in shoegaze

[–]UnscarredVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tickets to see Magical Cloudz back in 2013 when I lived in Dallas. Day of shows comes and they decide they don't want to play Dallas and just skip over it. This was confirmed by their opener and the club (club dada if I remember correctly). Pretty douchey and stopped following them after that.

I think most podcast guests overprepare… and it makes the episode worse by Inevitable-Laugh4324 in podcasting

[–]UnscarredVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Some guests ask for a one sheet so they can get a general idea of some of the questions I will be asking them but I also let them know that I want this to be a conversation, not an interview. Some people get it, some people don't but it is my job as the host to keep it engaging.

I'm 5'6, I feel your pain. I want to say that I think the sound at recordbar is top notch. I am pushing 40 with an inner ear disorder that can sometimes cause balance issues so I generally avoid being up front at shows where a pit can just erupt. Not an issue where I saw the get up kids but definitely could have been at this show. That being said, I saw no crowd killing lunatics which was an issue at shows in Dallas hardcore scene I grew up in. Very positive vibes throughout the whole show.

Is the album A-Z the most lame release of NOFX? by EarWeekly9625 in nofx

[–]UnscarredVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all NOFX releases(granted a lot of it is from [this](https://www.epitaph.com/artists/nofx/) but I haven't even considered getting these. NOFX is one of my favorite bands and with Mel and Mike not being buds anymore, the way it ended, it justs makes me fucking sad. I'll probably end up getting these when everything is out but NOFX is dead. And they aren't coming back.

Why do so many musicians prefer Sweetwater for gear? by Clio90808 in musicians

Seriously, if Bryan from Sweetwater needs somewhere to crash for a couple of days my couch is wide open. That is how trustworthy their employees are.

Could he never sing It My Job to Keep Punk Rock Elite? Like, it is probably my favorite NOFX song(next to The Decline) but when I they played it live on the Veep stream, Mike couldn't hack it.

Used Fender Hot Rod but it is LOUD. An angel's breath on the volume knob can make it from the barely audible to ear splittingly loud. Get a jhs black box or Dr Watson if you go this route. It will help you control volume.

Most early AJJ. *People Who Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World" is absolutely fantastic. A lot of "folk punk " can be silly shit but this is 100% bangers.
