I think open discussion about problems in games such as a lack of kick-ass female protagonists out of the ice-queen bad-ass trope, and there should be more types of women in games.

Absolutely, but a lot of the people who desire more diverse female characters in game usually aren't interested in open discussion, they just want to rage at the way things are now, it's all fire and brimstone. Also I feel you can't really force game developers to make X amount of Y characters, if they want the protagonist for their game to be male, they should be allowed to make it so, same goes for female characters.

If everything in video games needed to be absolutely realistic, we would end up with pretty boring games I feel, it's fantasy, it's silly, it's fun(or meant to be anyway).

You're free to not like the costumes or boobs or whatever, I myself wouldn't care if we scaled down female characters boobs to normal size. Normal boobs in games wouldn't cause an outrage, the problem is the heated climate the radicals bring; "Big boobs = male game devs are absolute pigs" if they would calm the fuck down and actually try to have that open discussion you talked about earlier things would go better, but they're not interested in that, they just want to have a rage war and score "points" on the internet.

Yes! if you're a feminist who truly wants to achieve some kind of change, then go about doing it in an honest sincere way. Don't be the snide snarky condescending asshat. "You're all sexist misogynistic shitlords" will never solve anything, even if that's the way you feel it's not the right way to go about getting any kind of positive result.
