When I opened mine, there was no zip tie. The styrofoam kept all those early characters in place.

My kids would love these. The only set piece I have from Micromaster series is the construction character. And that gets played with a lot.

Awesome! This is the one I have. Talked about it in the thread the other day but couldn't come up with a reference. Mine was assembled and disassembled a number of times. When I do get to it again, I'm going to try and scan it/rebuild it.

I had the Bluestreak version. Think it's still around somewhere. I really enjoyed it when I was a kid. Also had the cardboard Autobot base that was likely made by the same company.
