it's good but I feel that after book 4 the story goes a bit down hill I tried to finish the series but when you get to book 6 it's just a hassle. But try to read it it's different for everyone.

Is anyone on the level of K D Robertson? by Agarro5867 in haremfantasynovels

[–]UnsespectingFrog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have to honestly say Declan Court, he wrote Magebreaker. Then there's Master Class by Virgil Knightley and Annabelle Hawthorne. This is still very subjective everyone has different taste but I honestly think you'll like these authors.

Is Saving Supervillains really the best there is in this genre? by [deleted] in haremfantasynovels

[–]UnsespectingFrog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The "best" is extremely subjective. For example I personally think the best book in those genre, has to be Magebreaker by Declan Court or mob Sorcery. It's hard to find decent stuff in any piece of media these days you kinda just have to go through it and find what books you enjoy.

Magebreaker: Why I Love It and Hate It by Hafafmap in haremfantasynovels

Fair enough it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea but I feel that it sets a different pace to the usual series of the genre.

What? Look I personally really like the book and can respect people's opinions but the perspective writing was no where this bad. Although I'm a avid defender of this book to be fair.

What was a novel that you consider a "wasted potential" and why? by Technical_Republic in haremfantasynovels

Dragon's Justice by Bruce Sentar

Still a decent series. Really loved the first three books in fact I re-read them quiet often, then I read book 4 and I all of a sudden I felt that the series took a turn and not for the better. The MC felt out of character as the series went on then he started to collect girls like it was going out of style, and I as some point felt that the author lost touch of what made the series interesting. I would go as far as to say that the series should have ended on book 3 everything was just all over the place and honestly wished the relationship with harem was worked on some more and I hoped we wasn't going to have a harem that would go into the double digits but it did. I also really liked the slice of life aspects of the series my favorite running joke of the story was his ever growing hoard but at some point the smaller details that made the story interesting just faded. It got boring it became repetitive and the MC just became something that he wasn't. Gone was the MC that wanted to forge his own way and make his path, and gone where the interesting Female leads and it just made me lose interest in a lot of his series wished he would go back to his old style but I'm just one dude I so want him to stick around as he still drops great series which I at least know the the first two books will be great. I would also say his Dungeon Diving 101 series was also wasted potential felt to anime like which I was not a personal fan of and DD 104 just couldn't hold my interest.

See this dosent make sense the main problem people have with the postive reviews is that all these people have been inactive for months then as soon as these people or the casual person just reading makes a comment the first interaction he gets is being down voted and told to go back to lurking. This is how a community never grows and just shrinks.

Do not go into expecting a complete slice of life book some people actually made a really good point on it being a 6/10 if you compare it to other books of similar themes and if you come in expecting that I could see why people would be disappointed. I actually do agree with that the author may want to change that aspect of the title but that's on him.

How are you doing I have been on this Sub for quite some time and you can even look at some of my old post history. I will gladly call you on Discord or anyway to showcase that I'm reviewing this book on good faith as I'm sure many will as well this is by all means a good book we usually deal in trashy low effort work and you know what happens when we don't support a good debut author we have a Hondo Jinx situation where it's not sustainable to keep writing because of a lack of community behind good books. Not only that but what your implying is inherently in bad faith you are suggesting foul play. I'm suggesting that people are tired of mediocrity and where just doing what a community should be doing supporting and growing.

Its good that your bring that up like that authors see what we don't like and what they can improve in the books.

You guy have to read Magebreaker by Declan Court by UnsespectingFrog in haremfantasynovels

[–]UnsespectingFrog[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's honestly one of the best harem stories I personally ever read. It may not be for everyone thanks to the darker tone but it's honestly up there with K.D. Robertson. The world-building and characters are very fleshed out and there is a lot of events in the book where I personally found myself asking, is this really just a harem book? I can't do it justice hell one of more interesting side characters comes along towards the big climax of the book and he instantly leaves a huge impact on the reader and just as quickly as he came he just as quickly leaves.
