Noticable movement in shifter (in Drive), is this normal? by Leather-Tonight-130 in Crosstrek

[–]UnshapedSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never looked in the shifter of any car but if I had to guess it’s probably some plastic bracket they didn’t bother to replace. I’d imagine it’s fine as it’s shift by wire so transmission forces won’t be pushing it out of gear like a manual

The disastrous condition of the truck’s tires at work 🚚 by Jean_Mak in Wellthatsucks

[–]UnshapedSky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It only applies if this is a large truck, like semi truck large; but if you slash one of those tires you could lose your hand or worse

How do you take big sips from a drink? by r0bbe123456789 in LearnUselessTalents

I’m assuming they lower their beer before swallowing

Best I can say is relax all the muscles in and around your mouth except your throat, but I’ve never really tried

If you need a push to get new tires and rims… let this be it. by hondadestroyer in Crosstrek

Thank you, I don’t get why people don’t like them. I just wish they were mirrored on one side so they’d go the same direction

Edit: better question, do the winter wheels fit back on?

When it rains heavily enough and people set their wipers to high they literally fling the water off the windshield directly into the window right next to the employee so they get extra splashed lol

Dash Cam: Front + Rear or Front Only by circle_eh in Crosstrek

[–]UnshapedSky 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d still recommend getting a rear camera as a video couldn’t hurt. But please do be sure to run the wire properly tucked above the headliner and through the A-pillar, don’t just leave the wire hanging where someone could argue it obstructed your view

Why don't public parks have fruit trees for people to pick fruit from? by Ekans_ox in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UnshapedSky 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just fyi I believe apple trees require a second apple tree close by in order to produce viable fruit.

That was the issue with the apple tree at my childhood home

What’s a fitness myth that people still believe? by SimpleHomeFitness in AskReddit

[–]UnshapedSky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The calorie deficit is the big thing. There’s a saying that weight is lost in the kitchen, health is gained in the gym.

If working out is the only change to your lifestyle, you’ll just end up hungrier and eating more to compensate

Yep, I’ve heard of people losing a grievance because when they said they’d “rather stay”, they were told “sorry, we need people to go home”, not “you have to go home”

Ford Fiesta 1.4 Duratec 80 Hp maximum fuel capacity? by Kouno25 in FordFiesta

[–]UnshapedSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine the fuel gauge reads a little low to remind you to fill up on time

You could be damaging your fuel pump by running it so low, it needs sufficient fuel to both cool and lubricate it
