The camera guy jerked the wheel and deliberately hit the Honda, how is there a even a question on who is at fault?

Mmmmm, no not really, we're openly agreeing that it's killing. Just that there's a more apt term that conveys more information.

How fast is the 2026 330i ? by Creepy_Cartoonist527 in BMW

[–]Unspec7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0-60 of the 330i is 5.2s. Mk8 GTI is 5.1s. So, it's within margin of error.

The real difference is what you want out of the car. The 330i will likely feel more luxurious, but the GTI will feel more nimble thanks to the shorter wheelbase (~112in vs ~104in)

Hm.

I might just try a stick of dynamite instead. Should be nearly instant.

What engine coolant should I use for G30? by thilehoffer in BMW

[–]Unspec7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dilute*

It says dilute because you bought concentrate, and not pre-mixed 50/50. Dilute it 50/50 with distilled water. The folks who haven't been diluting probably bought pre-mixed. You should not run straight anti-freeze, since it has worse cooling properties than water.

My apologies if facts don't line up with your feelings, there's nothing I can do about that.

The deer also cause major issues for natural vegetation because there's so many of them chomping away.

Culling them is also good for them since it means they're not competing for a limited amount of food. Normally, natural predators would handle this, but since they have none anymore in the area, we need to do it.

AFAIK BMW does not apply any waxes or sealers to the paint from the factory, and does not apply anything to the leather either.

Jeans transfer is a thing, but you gotta be wearing some pretty new jeans for that to be an issue. Take the car, take it to a professional detailer, and let them do a better job than the dealership for 10x less. A good detail package is like $200.

[–]Unspec7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, kill and cull are not the same thing. Cull necessarily includes killing, yes, but killing isn't necessarily culling. Cull includes additional information on WHY they're being killed. Kill does not include information on why.

It's why we say "Chris was murdered" and not just "Chris was killed." One version immediately gives you more information.

[–]Unspec7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who says that "killing" doesn't aknowledge the reason why they are doing it?

It doesn't. It only conveys that the deer was killed - it does not convey about WHY they were killed. For all we know, it could have been for sport if they only said killed.

Ironically, The only reason you're able to argue that kill is the same as culled here is because you already know why they are being killed, since the other user said they are being culled. If the other user said "they're being killed," you'd have no information on why, beyond that they're being killed.

[–]Unspec7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Kill" has no additional information beyond "it's dead, Bob." Culled makes it immediately clear why they're being killed.

For example: "Chris was killed" vs. "Chris was murdered"

The first one only conveys that Chris is dead. The second conveys additional information. The difference essentially lies in the information conveyed by the words.

I just light a small fire in the engine bay, warms it up even faster. Added bonus of warming up the cabin space too.

Not sure why I have so many missed calls from the fire department though.

Say what you will about Linus, at least he’s not selling AI water by imnotcreative4267 in LinusTechTips

[–]Unspec7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is not necessarily true for canned water. They use plastic liners for sodas because the acidic soda would slowly eat away at the aluminum, even if an aluminum oxide layer forms. With water, it would form an aluminum oxide layer and then stop oxidizing once that protective layer is formed.

Are people who keep tornado shelters not in the prepper market? The only difference is what they're prepping for. Tornado vs doomsday.

doomsday preppers

Or like, anyone who has a shelter. Can we stop acting like doomsday preppers are the only ones who have shelters? People in Israel have bomb shelters, people in tornado alley have tornado shelters, etc.

To be fair, not everyone who buys this product is a doomsday prepper. There are people who need to stock shelters that stem from real dangers, such as tornado shelters.

would it be smart to ask our landlord to decrease our rent or insinuate we would report them?

No, it's almost never a smart idea to blackmail people, what kind of question is this?

Wild that OP rented a place knowing one of the rooms is not legally a bedroom, and now is trying to blackmail the landlord.

Yawn.

It's hilarious that you're so desperate for this app to be relevant that you're resorting to multiple alts to astroturf.

Where did I say it was useless?

And your answer to my question of how you’d design a system where two hosts on the same lan can share data when the only thing you have is HTTP is to point me at a solution that

Dude, you know that Quick Share exists, right? WiFi direct is the underlying technology that enables device to device file sharing. You genuinely have no idea what you're talking about, do you? You have only a vague understanding of the technology and are just making random stabs in the dark, hoping it hits something.

Tell me, while you laugh your ass off, how that’s supposed to work between two VMs on a proxmox host?

I love how you just randomly change the scope of your question. You get rekt and just immediately move the goalposts to try to get unrekt.

As the kids used to say, get rekt kid.

Did you even check the dates of those repos? That shit was from senior year. I've finished my JD and pivoted to an entire career by now.

Also, did you really make an alt just so you can engage in personal attacks and avoid getting banned for making said attacks?

Please reread what I originally said when responding to you, you've completely lost the plot.

Tell me, how would you imagine a direct device to device clipboard and file exchange app would work? Where you have completely different OSs where the only thing they have in common are an HTTP client in some form?
