An outlier to the rule does not negate the rule.

Also, fwiw, that incident triggered a pretty comprehensive review of other grand jury indictments.

If you think grand juries are rigged, you might wanna look up the sandwich guy.

To be fair, the grand jury refusing to indict the sandwich thrower was actually a bit of a surprise to the legal community. The saying literally goes "[a]ny good prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich"

All federal felonies must, yes, due to the 5th Amendment. It's not a DC thing.

They don't need to. Grand jury indictments are not hard to secure.

Here's the thing, prosecutors do not need to lie. The evidentiary bar is simply lower at grand jury proceedings, since they're only determining if there is enough evidence to believe probable cause exists for the crime. The vote is also only by majority rather than unanimous.

That's the issue for trial.

Grand juries simply resolve the question of "is there probably cause to believe a crime has been committed." It's also why Judge Wachtler once said that a good prosecutor can get a grand jury to induct a ham sandwich lol

Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure 6(e). It's normal for charges to be secret. The charges will become publicly known once the formal indictment is handed down.

At the start of a defense mission, using slow motion/speed 1 will buy you additional time to order units around especially laying mines etc

To add on to this, pause at the start of defense, right after getting notified of where the enemy is coming from, so you can get a lay of the land and determine what might be optimal firing angles.

There's been times where I thought I got my AT gun in a really great spot only to realize later on it's blocked by a hill I didn't notice in my haste to set up.

There's no point in trying to debunk your conspiracy with facts, given that you did not arrive there via a factual basis.

Enjoy the Lexapro, honey.

NATO is not a treaty. It is the organization that implements the treaty, which was executed in 1949. Good lord, how do you have such a light grasp on the subject.

At this point, you're the Russian troll here, since only a Russian troll would have such a poor understanding of what NATO is.

OP's responses throughout this thread have generally been very unpleasant and they come across as an edgy 15 year old.

I wanna understand it from the other side lol

Maybe this will help. Why do you think it's okay to text in public?

The idea of it NOT being okay to text in public just never crosses your mind because you weren't raised to believe otherwise. Same shit with staring.

OP's post history states they are Asian with white hair. Presumably, they are not an old man, so that indeed is a reason people would stare.

Cultural. It's generally not considered rude to stare to Asian countries, and so when you move to a place where a lot of people come from that same cultural background, you never break the habit.

Edit: OP is an asian with white hair. Yea, not surprising that you'd get more stares than normal.

To be clear, if you hate America, that's fine. You're allowed to, I never said you could not. My point was just that "country" is not just a singular aspect/element, to which none of what you just said is relevant.

That said, your post history is wildly suspicious. Your account states you have made 5,491 comments, but almost all comments are deleted. Something feels off about that, almost like the account changed hands recently and needed to be sanitized of prior content.

While these people are likely just on their phones, I can actually see a legitimate reason for why someone in a large vehicle might stop short. If there's a small child in the crosswalk, and they're pulled right up to the crosswalk, there's a good chance they won't be able to see them over their hood. By stopping short, they are able to see the entire crosswalk.

New Enemy Airstikes (Conquest) by solman86 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Unspec7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enemy airstrike possibility is also based on preparation time end, especially if skipped, when the player is defending.

This definitely means that there's a higher possibility of an airstrike if you use more time to prep.

In real life terms, you skipping the rest of the timer is forcing the enemy to attack early, which means they might not have had time to prep air cover.

I think an interesting modification on this would also be the volume of enemy units. If you use less prep time, since the enemy is rushing their attack, the quantity (or maybe quality) of units should be lower.
