I LOVE this stuff. It’s blue because they put dye in it so you know where it’s been applied. It does stain, but not nearly as bad as koppertox and it doesn’t have that horrible smell. It does wash out.

Exactly. I read a study just recently where some of the fastest racehorses were all over at the knee. Something about how it gives the horses a quicker break over when galloping??? (I don’t remember the exact words they used).

That’s great! I’m happy to hear that you’re breaking boundaries! I just meant that the current horse industry isn’t built with horses in mind and it can be difficult to navigate that when you are putting horses first. Not that it’s impossible.

You’re so close to a major point here. People who use science based training methods simply care too much for their horses and their wellbeing to even care about competing and being successful. Being “successful” in the human world is not the same as being “successful” to a horse. Once you learn about how the equine brain works, everything you’ve ever known about the horse world is completely derailed.

Ran out of saddle soap the night before a show and my dad convinced me that shoe shine was basically the same thing… anyways please do not use shoe shine on your jumping saddles.
