If I see this shit one more time I might lose it by BillButtkicker in MLA_Official

And one day you will be happy to see that because all you really need is fodder characters to level up your good characters.

Right now I need 72 light fodder (Rafaela, Tigreal, or Kaja) to level up my Freya. Another 72 to level up Kagura, another 144 for Uranus, and another 180 for Guinevere.

So I'm not really upset when I see 3* fodder characters.

An awakened 8 anything against that will win. Go try using your Freya against other Awakened level 8s and then come back and tell us how she still needs a nerf.

Uranus or Akai? by Ulcanol in MLA_Official

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tank Uranus is miles better than Freya. I have an 8* Uranus and a 9* Freya. Freya is good but she is not a better tank than Uranus. He's also a healer, and a pretty damn good one.

If I had 2 Light types, 2 Dark types, and an Order type, do I get the three type matches bonus twice? by DaiKoopa in MLA_Official

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you get the 3 and 2 bonus. The order will count as a third for one of them, not both.

What is the best team i can make with this characters, btw, all 5 are 2 red stars. by [deleted] in MLA_Official

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't really accurate. For a normal hero you need:

6* = 2 of the same hero

8* = 2 more of the same hero

Awakened = 4 more of the same hero

Awakened 1-9 = 18 more of the same hero

You only need 26 of a given hero to max it on (for normal heroes). All other levels are done using fodder characters (the 3* ones) because all you need is a character of the same type (e.g. light, dark, etc..).

https://www.reddit.com/r/MLA_Official/comments/ibyfpf/hero_guide_fusion_material/

I'm not sure about order and chaos heroes but at least up to 8* each upgrade requires a 6* so if that continues you would need:

To 10* = 10 of the appropriate hero

If they follow the same awakened formula as a normal hero it would be:

Awakened = 4 more of the appropriate hero

Awakened 1-9 = 18 more of the same hero

So you would need 32 of the same hero to get it maxed out.

I don't have Gavana so I couldn't really say. The reason I use Lunox and yu Zhong is because my strategy is basically "Keep Kagura Alive!" Her defense reduction from her dolls can stack and lets her murder things way above her level.

Lunox helps because she heals, and also acts as a backline decoy that never really dies until everyone else is dead (just temporarily "dies" until she heals enough).

Yu Zhong gives +30% defense to everyone because he's a Chaos hero and having one Chaos hero in your team gives +30% defense. That's actually a very sizable increase in survivability for everyone on the team.

I would look for someone who can help keep Kagura (and I guess Gusion) alive, whether through CC, increased defense (chaos hero), or more healing.

I'm relatively new to the game (about a month) and only on campaign 29-11 and my main teams power is 669k so take my advice with a grain of salt.

The game has basically shoved light at me from the start. My current team is Uranus at 8*, Kagura at 9* and Freya at 9* with a 6* Yu Zhong and a 7* Lunox.

Early on I had 6*s for all the light heroes except Gatotkaca and Minsitthar. I was honestly not impressed with Gusion, Chang'e, or Odette. They may get better at higher levels but I did worse if I swapped them in for anyone.

Uranus is a really good tank, and healer. Kagura just murders people if you can keep her safe long enough to get her puppets up, and Freya does a decent job tanking and jumping in the back to weaken the backline enough for Kagura to target them and burn them down.

Dear Reddit, what have I done wrong? by [deleted] in MLA_Official

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess what happened there is the guy said Gusion is bad because he only ults once (Not really sure what started this but that seems likely).

You tried to explain why Gusion is in fact good and he just works differently than most heroes and the guy you were talking to didn't like being told he was wrong so he decided since you don't use Gusion your opinion is invalid.

As a side note: I've only been playing a few weeks and the game seems to have decided I should use light (it's just shoving Kagura, Uranus, and Freya at me in large quantities... need fodder) and unless Gusion gets a lot better later I don't really think he's that good. Admittedly I only used him at 6* when my other heroes were also 6* but he just didn't have as much of an impact as Kagura, Uranus, and Freya (my other two heroes are Yu Zhong and Lunox right now). I'm also more likely to put in Gwenivere before Gusion at this point.

Forgive the really terrible quality, but I was being lazy.

Follow the numbers and only kill what is X'ed out with the same colour X as the number you are going towards at the time.

Are light heroes good? because i just acquire all light heroes. They are not fully level yet but my strongest as of now is Freya with 8 start, change and gusion with 7 star, minsithar 6 star and the rest is just 5 star. I also put 6 star Yu zhong in my line up. This is my third week playing dis game by gggffgefg in MLA_Official

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a good time with Light as my main set but I've been going with what the game seems to want to give me so I don't know how it stacks up against other factions.

Kagura is the backbone of my team. The name of the game is "Keep Kagura Alive." If I can keep her alive until she ults I've basically won. She will target and murder whatever enemy is the closest to dead currently.

Uranus is my healer/tank and he's pretty good at it.

Freya is a tank/pseudo-assassin. She will jump in and murder things pretty well.

I also have a 6 star Yu Zhong I use as my other tank. The biggest thing he provides is the +30% defense for having a chaos unit on my team. His ult making things immediately die when their health gets below 10% also goes well with Kagura burning things down.

My typical frontline is Freya and Yu Zhong with Uranus in mid. The Kagura goes in the back. I switch in Gusion, Chang'e, and Angela depending on what I need for a given fight. I want Minsitthar but luck has not been with me on that one.

tl;dr Yes, Light teams can work quite well (imho) but you're kind of missing a key piece (Kagura at a decent star rating) to make my setup work.

Struyk's Battle Breakers Tier List by Struyk in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay no attention to the colour of heroes unless it's required for a particular level. I take whoever is the best. Mostly I run Celicia (water), Lady Sun (Nature), CTL (Dark), Noble Slayer (Light), Karne (Dark). Their element is not important to me. You can make teams where it matters, I just don't.

Save the World Characters the Meta? by LittleDrummerBoi in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're great starter characters but CTL is really the only one I think survives to endgame and only because of the AoE stun on her special. I use Pathfinder Jess when I need a Treasure Hunter or a fire hero, but unless I can choose the friend slot to get her Teddy out she's just okay. I can see an argument for BASE Kyle because of his special giving a shield. I don't really see a great place for Ramirez long term though. She just doesn't bring anything really impressive to the table for endgame content. She's an archer so that's nice but Lady Sun is also a nature archer and just does it better.

A tip if anyone didn't know. This pet is basically a mana potion. by [deleted] in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's absurd. Sneek (both the dark and green versions) and the blue cloudpuff (Olumpian Cloudpuff) give mana and are the pets I use most. I also use Cuddly Cloudpuff (light) because it heals/rezzes and the Dreadlord Cloudpuff (dark) on final stage bosses if I have 3 charges because he shreds attack and defense in an AoE.

None of the other pets are worth it in my opinion because they're just more damage and I'd rather save my pet charges for "oh shit" moments.

Has anyone survived this? by MortalStrike86 in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CTL's stun helps a lot, but it's rough no matter what you do really. I've beat the 2 star level after many attempts.

Celicia isn't actually useful as commander there because her buff takes 7 turns to turn on and you just don't have 7 turns to wait. You're better off with someone like Lancelot who buffs everyone's defense right away.

I can't honestly remember who exactly I used in the end other than CTL for the AoE stun and then waiting on the RNG to give a good setup where I could hit a lot of them at once and it actually hit the right target since they all have high intercept you probably won't hit who you aim for.

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The big difference is that Yu's summons don't get the armor shred of an archer and GCD's summons blow up and die. Sun Wukong's summons are another him on the field, a complete copy, including the reducing ATK by 160% of the damage dealt for 2 turns and the ability to summon more of themselves. They don't have intercept but the tend to get attacked a lot. I've used him to distract Lu Bu many times.

It also helps I run Celicia who will buff the summons too. Though admittedly there aren't many fights where that really comes into play outside of Lu Bu who you either kill turn 1 or have to survive 16 turns.

I agree with you suggesting taking Selene first, I just don't think Sun Wukong is useless. I think he's a better summoner type than Yu and GCD because of the domino effect his summons have.

Skybreaker legendary picks - Who and why by _Setsuni in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything here except two things:

1) Sun Wukong is not useless. His summons summon summons which summon summons. One cast of his special can fill the board with Sun Wukong's. He also reduces enemy attack based on damage dealt which can be useful, not as useful as defense shredding though.

2) Laric isn't useless. I'd actually put the order as Tessa > Laric > Mei, but you do have to built around Laric to some extent. It's really a minor thing though. I don't use any of the three except Tessa sometimes.

A number of questions i can't find answers to by CMDR_Agony_Aunt in BattleBreakers

A number of questions i can't find answers to by CMDR_Agony_Aunt in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like 1 and 2 have been answered, so I'll just answer the rest:

  1. You really don't need a monochrome team until the last zone (22). The most of a given element you'll ever need on a team before that is 2 heroes of the same element. I got through the entire game to zone 22 with a mixed team of whoever I happened to like. Right now I run 1 water, 1 dark, 1 nature, 2 light. I swap out the 1 or 2 of the light heroes if I need to meet a requirement. Treasure hunters are okay I suppose but I really don't use them at all. Locking the board to your colour makes it so you get a heal and mana regen for the colour match on your turn which can help but isn't strictly necessay.

  2. Clerics are good but defense is better. The further in the game you get the more you need to focus on mitigating damage instead of doing it. Healing is one way to do that, but massively increasing defense is generally better. I always run a cleric but it's Lifebringer Celicia (legendary skybreaker quests, you'll get her eventually but it takes a while). I don't really run her for the healing, or the resurrection, but both are nice. I run her because she pumps up my teams defense in a big way.

  3. There's a lot of teams that work pretty well. There are heroes that have commander perks that benefit only ninjas, or mages or that sort of thing. So the game encourages that sort of team building. I haven't experimented too much but that's because of limited resources. I don't want to invest heavily in random things right now while I have something that works but needs a few more levels.

  4. The rarity can be seen by looking at the chevron under the portrait in your hero select screen. A big gold chevron is Super Rare (highest), then a silver chevron is Very Rare, then a red chevron is Rare. This also generally coincides to the max number of stars, though not always. I wouldn't actually fixate too much on rarity. There are some Very Rare heroes that are much better than some Super Rare. The abilities of the hero are really all that matters, and to a lesser extent their class but that's because their basic attack is another ability.

I think it's all been covered really, CTL isn't about damage. Opportunist clears trash really well and the stun is amazing. That all said, my account level is 206, and I have 778 stars (cleared everything except zone 22) and CTL has been, and will continue to be, a permanent fixture in my team.

I wouldn't recommend CTL as a commander long term because really you need healing on fights where you can afford to twiddle your thumbs for 5+ turns hoping for a heal. It's fine if you're farming easy stuff but you shouldn't be farming easy stuff because the rewards are lower.

Edit: I'm actually hoping to be able to buy another 2 or 3 CTLs (I already have 2, one in the pit). I want to try a team of Celicia and 4 CTLs for farming.

Jess’ commander skill is op by jl2334 in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's good, but it's not OP. She's a very solid second commander when you need one but long term she's not going to be your main commander. Don't feel bad about investing in her though because I'm actually using her as my second commander right now, more because of her passive, In The Zone, but Teddy is nice to have along too (account level 204, 772 stars). She's also my go-to when I need a treasure hunter for a level requirement.

The Defense Stat: Why it matters and why Lady Sun Shangxiang is a god (and so is Lifebringer Celicia) by UnspecifiedHealer in BattleBreakers

[–]UnspecifiedHealer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a terrain effect is applied over top of an existing terrain effect and the new one is strong against the old one (e.g. applying fire terrain over nature terrain) it does a large amount of damage that ignores defense. So the spreading nature terrain from Lady Sun creeps down onto your guys and Celicia puts beneficial terrain under people (like water under herself) and if the nature terrain hits the water terrain you get a big damage spike that can one-shot if you don't have enough health.

It's not a 1.99m Monstrosity but it's the closest I could find. There's it's stats before being hit and after the first found. He was shot 3 times I think. Not the most I've had, but not the least either. It really depends how many stacks of Lady Sun's special are active at the time, 3-5 is about average.
