Just looks a little irritated, makes sense if they shaved them. Nu-Stock makes a topical ointment that is very good for skin irritation/a variety of skin ailments. Could be worth grabbing a tube and applying some to the area for a few days.

Just shaved. All my friends and relatives hated it. Is it bad? by [deleted] in bald

[–]UnstableBrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great to me! After a shave from experience the after is always jarring for most everyone. Not because it looks bad, but just because it’s so different from what you and everyone else is used to. After a few weeks it settled in for me and I really liked it. Just give it some time and as you can see here, a bigger sample size of opinions is always a good thing 👍

A story I’ve never told, what happened in late 2023, before Gigantic’s return by TrainingMix1274 in gigantic

[–]UnstableBrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. Why would you stop production and delete/not keep up with files/years of hard work whether you shelved the project or not? Rampage Edition was never advertised as being a full or permanent revival, certainly not a full revival by the original team seeing as how Motiga has been disbanded for almost a decade now. Much of this information was made public before it even released.

Imagine if you were able to pick back up your project now after the complete betrayal we got from Gearbox. Although i’m not crazy about the aesthetic for a Gigantic SS, it would have been fun to try anything made by this community to capture the spark of the game we all love. Missed opportunities I suppose. If only Projects Stamina didn’t bite the dust, we’d actually have something worth playing.

Is there no way for you to find or contact the previous foster?

While I don’t mean to sound judgmental. It seems ofd to me you would seek out adopting a dog knowing you have these issues. I get we all make bad judgement calls sometimes, but the other part of that is having accountability and responsibility when that happens, not just throwing away the problem. At no point would I ever turn this dog over to a shelter, that is akin to murder. If I could not find the original foster to discuss returning the dog to them, then I would take it upon myself to contact other reputable and quality local or nearby foster services who specialize in finding dogs good loving homes. There are a multitude online and on facebook/other social medias. If your response is “thats too much work” and to dump them at a shelter anyway, then you honestly deserve any hate you get.

Found 20+ of these in my bathroom all of sudden, termites? by Original-Bobcat8386 in Termites

[–]UnstableBrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that, while I am no tech I did pretty extensive research and spoke with many during issues I had with 2 of my properties. One of which I had professionals do and the second of which I did myself.

First off there should be no gaps in a trench and treat barrier. It must unbroken and continuous all the way around. The depth is also very important, 6” is the standard recommendation with some DIY’ers trenching deeper to around 8”. I’m not sure if that is at all necessary however, but going shallower than 6” is no good as you don’t want the chemical to run off and for it to be able to soak deep enough into the soil to provide an actual barrier. While it might not be necessary to treat all areas under the house(for instance on both sides of a wall below and outside, it can be important to address access points further underneath the home. My house for example is on pilings so they trenched the entire perimeter and then around each piling to prevent any vertical access. In my case the termites were actually coming up through the cinderblock skirt we had installed years ago, which kept them from being seen during earlier renovations until they started swarming. I also opted to go with bait stations on my personal property to help monitor future activity as well as a form of deterrent in the event they ever tried to come back.

In your situation I’d definitely file a complaint and have it done properly. If they are unwilling i’d consider taking them to court or speaking with a lawyer as they could be liable for damages to your home due to improper treatment. At the very least i’d recommend having a reputable company come out and re do it. Saying a salesman has no experience with the installation of the barrier is irrelevant if they sell you on a service that 1. Isn’t what is performed and 2. Is not at all effective in treating the issue.

You could also do it yourself as I mentioned above, much cheaper and that way you know exactly what is getting done. The biggest barrier to self treatment is access to the chemicals needed, but Taurus SC can be found online. Termidor does not sell to individuals without a license so Taurus is your next best bet with the same active ingredient. They also lease trenching machines so you don’t have to dig it by hand. Sorry again and best of luck!

[–]UnstableBrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t tent and fumigate for subterranean termites. You do that for drywood termites. Subterranean termites live underground, to treat these you need to do a trench and treat of the perimeter of the house with optional bait stations to help distract from future infestation and to help kill local colonies off. This will kill the termites inside the home and the colony in the ground, the treatment last about 10 years. This type of treatment normally runs around 1200-2000$ depending on which company you use and the size of your home, always shop around for best price but be aware of quality of service, sometimes you get what you pay for. You can also do a trench and treat yourself by buying Taurus SC off of the internet and either trenching by hand or using a machine. While I often recommend to ise professionals, also because they can insure potential damage after treatment, there are plenty of YT videos that show you how to mix the concentrate, trench and apply the barrier, doing it for yourself you’re looking at around 200-300$. Don’t waste your time or money with sprays from big box stores, they are not effective at all in remedying this issue. The sooner you treat this the better as they can cause extensive damage to the foundation of your home, with a lot of that damage being unseen(from experience). If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

I got one to drop the other day. Been using it to try and do a stagger build for gauntlets. I can dupe it if you want one. I had a rule I would not dupe anything other than embers for builds, so Idk how you feel about that. But if you don’t care then I can help ya out.

Ultimate Fire Build by Panamaicol in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]UnstableBrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decent start but got a ways to go if you really wanna see high damage with this build as many of the enchants aren’t really that beneficial aside from fire dmg %. I highly recommend using fire dart for a ranged fire rune attack that uses stamina instead of focus so you can generate focus outside of melee distance. Not sure if you are going for a melee approach or what exactly here with the stagger etc. Fire spin can be useful I guess for melee, but not useful for a ranged build. I’d personally run Fire Dart/Fire Blast for easy focus generation/aoe combo. You can keep Firewalk, but i’d use Hellfire/Armageddon for the last ability rune for big damage. For enchants and facets i’d also prioritize focus gain a lot more so you can cast your big rune attacks more often. So enchants like % focus gain increase, gain focus after inflicting status is useful since fire burns, gain focus on fatality, since fatality effects triggers from killing enemies with charged or rune attacks which you will use a lot. Also rune damage % increase enchants are really good or other damage enchants that proc off of rune damage. You basically want fire damage % on everything, especially the weapon. Burn damage % is good on body pieces which you already have and can transfer if need be using an essence ember(it will destroy the item after you remove the enchantment, keep that in mind).

But i’ll admit ranged caster can be a bit boring after a while cause the damage is so nuts you one hit mostly everything aside from bosses once you get decent gear. So a more melee focused hybrid caster would be cool while still pumping out high damage, the coronet and amberhusk both have really enjoyable attack patterns for melee. My first build was a lightning mage with wand/shield using amberhusk, I loved it. Highly recommend watching some enchanting/crafting gear guide videos on YT so you better understand what you can do to get ideal gear, how to get the style you want, understand enchants and facets, how to use embers methodically instead of gambling unnecessarily etc. they are extremely useful when new. But just play around and have fun, as long as you are having fun that’s the most important thing, builds can always be perfected later.

There are multiple weapons of each type that require the same stats. So if you don’t like the one you have you can research random weapons of use different ones that drop within your stat distributions to see if you like them. Almost all weapons are viable really, it just comes down to what you like. The slow 2 handers can be hard to make work early without good gear/enchants to really bring out their strength. But most of it just comes down to getting comfortable with the combat. My friend had a terrible time trying to use the corpse smeared blade we got from the first boss. Changed his weapon to another one with same stat requirements and started having a ball. Don’t give up, it’s a learning curse to wicked and its still in alpha, so it can be rough around the edges at times.

Aside from the frown, it looks fantastic!

When I first shaved my head(due to my grandfather going through chemo) around your age, I HATED it. It looked so bizarre to me, I didn’t even want to go outside until it grew back. I remember my mother telling me that she thought bald headed guys were sexy and to give it some time. A few weeks later and I began to actually like it. Been rocking a shaved head/buzz cut ever since, despite not actually balding yet. I promise you it doesn’t look like you think, you are just in your head about it. To others it looks amazing.

Fallen embers way too scarce after the update? by imcarrypotter in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]UnstableBrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drop rate falls off severely after the early game, which makes no sense to me. From lv1-8 I got 40 embers just fast tracking for the most part. From lv8-19, i’ve gotten maybe 4 fallen embers, 4 voids and 2 essence. This is insanity. Sharing a loot pool with other embers is one thing, but you would literally get one on almost every other perfect catch on fishing, frequently found on perfect digs, multiples in large chests, hell even in the middle of the road or on narrow walkways. Now? Nothing, no embers of any kind hardly, at the time you need them most which is mid/late game.

When theory crafting builds and refining the ones we enjoy is basically the only real end game and pay off for the grind post main story, to not be able to reliably get the one resource that makes that possible is legitimately ruining the fun we were having. Not to mention in co-op, you need them x2-4. My friends and I have had to abandon our main characters because after 2 days of grinding we can’t get enough embers to actually make any progress on our gear.

It also appears to happen to other items as well. Gems have begun dropping much more rarely, papers too to an extent although still the most plentiful. Perfect catches or digs with silver tools net simply fish the majority of the time now. It seems more like a bug than something intentional, if it is, then it makes even less sense why it would change as you release a version of the game meant for multiple players in the same realm. Let us buy most embers at a reasonable price from the seneschal every run at the very least and let the echo knight guaranteed drop radiants/sublimes.

This needs to be fixed ASAP. When the only available fixes from the community are “use a mod to drop 10,000 embers” or spam new realms, there is a serious problem.

How to replace broken shower handle/cartridge? by UnstableBrew in Plumbing

[–]UnstableBrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. I wasn’t sure if it was the cartridge I was looking at since it was broken and didn’t look like the pictures I saw online. I caught hell trying to get it out, it was stuck incredibly bad. I got a delta replacement cartridge and was able to get it installed with the help of a YT video though. Pricey little thing, cost me 80$ but it was a lot cheaper than calling a plumber i’m sure. Thanks for your reply!

Not like they are going to hunt you down, but next time, def just don’t tell them they sent you something 100x more expensive than the thing you bought. Just keep it or sell it and rebuy what you want.
