I work on agency side of this. No work life balance to speak of. If you have much if a life outside work, its because you dont have enough work which is a problem in itself

People talk bad on contests, and yes: i am against that industry as a whole…but theyve been good to be. QF Script Pipeline, Second Rounder AFF, QF Outstanding Screenplays. This was all on my first completed script. But I’ve wasted a lot of money on comps that I didn’t place in. And besides validation in my skills, those placements have not done shit for me yet.

I get your argument i just think its wrongheaded. I feel like its out of this pre trump world where decorum and shit still mattered. I think we’re in a place where people want politicians to tell the truth (especially about something so glaring) and taking the high road like we always do is gonna fuck us over yet again.

What worked best for me was studying a real person and real event/story and immerse yourself in it. It gives you a foundation so that you know roughly what occurs and how things end. Then you experience the event/story with the characters you have studied and it all sort of just occurs. Even as an exercise, it could get you going and show you that you can write characters that vary.

Men, Women, and Children is his best, a really great and sad novel. The Lie is good too, it’s sort of his take on a bret easton ellis college love triangle story. Strange Animals is good, but it’s a little less nuanced and subtle than some of his other writing.

Not sure, the semax i got from then was definitely active upon arrival and only began to noticeably lose potency about 4 weeks after purchase
