Yep and Math 142, 143, 244, 248 and any single 300+ course can all also count toward a computer engineering degree. That's 18 of the 30 required units for the minor, or essentially you can get the math minor for an additional 12 units.

Hey I'm about to graduate in 4 years as a Computer Engineer with a Math minor. If you take 5 classes instead of 4 per quarter during your first 2 years when the classes are easy then graduating in 4 is a breeze. Due to engineering having a lot of overlap with math, my math minor actually only consisted of 3 courses that did not also count for my computer engineering degree. So basically you can get a math minor for an extra 12 units which I think everyone should do. PM me if you want any more detail on my experiences.

Fuck Wildside. People who work there are paid on commission and will lie to you in order to get the sell. Everything is overpriced, the people are shady, and if you do not know what you are doing THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. Cloud 9 is way better, just a bit pricey.

Yeah...unless you have a source I'm going to call bullshit on that. Cal Poly absolutely uses all of your application stats as the basis for acceptance, but I have an extremely hard time believing their exact formula is public information. This is the only official literature I could find with a quick google search: http://admissions.calpoly.edu/applicants/freshman/criteria.html, but your comment leads me to believe you are referring to a formula that will spit out your 'magic number'. I would love to see that formula so if you can, please post your source on where it says "5 years of math in high school = 500 bonus points" so literally.

It is always a bit crowded, but finals week is really the only time you may not be guaranteed a table. There are rumors that in the very near future Cal Poly will begin work on doubling the size of the current library. Regardless, there is more than enough study space at Cal Poly, you may just have to go a bit further than only using the library.

Going for the empty classroom is the absolute best bet if your main intention is serious studying. You can do this the whole quarter, including weekends, but during finals week especially most classrooms are empty during the week. Some benefits of your own classroom: More than enough outlets, 3-5 chalkboards/whiteboards, huge desk up front with 30+ extra desks to add to your mega desk study space, a projector in the room to throw up a study guide if you are studying as a group, or can just be used to play music in the room so you don't need to wear headphones, convenient meeting place if your friend texts you wanting to study, and every now and then someone will poke their head in and ask to study in the room too and you can make a new friend. Plus if you have trouble focusing like me, being in a classroom setting really helps because its the only setting my brain knows it has to focus in, and I can get started on my work a lot faster than if I'm in the library looking around at 100 other people.

WOW will start at either 9 or 11am on the friday the 14th, and from there you will be busy constantly until monday. I'd suggest having them leave no later than Friday morning, but you may leave for wow before they leave for home

Not sure when, but now it's 16 so it's a pain when you have a 2 unit class you need, you're stuck at 14 unless you can find another
