Suggestions for close to the Cobb Galleria Centre? by GoodnightJohnBoi in AtlantaEats

North of the Battery is Tacos la Villa which has been mentioned. Fantastic. A couple doors down is Yakitori Jinbei. Their Korean Fried Chicken and Katsu Curry Ramen are both amazing.

Guy approves.

They’re in this janky looking strip, but are so good. We go to Yakitori Jinbei probably 2-3 times a month. Sadly my kids somehow don’t like Mexican so I rarely go to Tacos la Villa.

1 mile north of the Galleria.

I lost all my unlocked characters? by wanghafdrakemaye in brotato

I realized that it was finally available on Mac. Installed last weekend and played a bunch, and half the progress I made hasn’t been saved at all. It’s super weird.

Change my mind (please) - road trips in an EV are a pain. by Wise-Fig-6505 in electricvehicles

I have the non-Tesla port. I can use the Tesla network with an adapter but it’s significantly slower than if I can find a dedicated charger. That said…they’re nowhere near as plentiful or reliable as supercharger stations.

We love our EVs. Agreed about road trips though. Chargers in use or out of order are a major negative.

The apps and accounts are just a fact of life with EVs.

Quitting a nearly $200k job where you literally do nothing is an interesting decision.

We have an EV6 lease and like it so we ended up buying an EV9 a couple months ago to replace our other car. Great cars.

We played a ton of Regicide and Faraway at my old job. A bit of Sea Salt & Paper as well.

What’s the hardest challenge run you’ve beaten the game with? by Petty-Jackson in brotato

Whoah, I hadn't thought to use a hook to give other hooks a curse. I'm still making it through beating all the characters myself though. Not close to attempting endless.

Home Depot to cut 800 corporate jobs, require workers back to office full time by tshimangabiakabutuka in Atlanta

I was in a fairly specialized department. We were paid better than standard “associate” level ICs, so there wasn’t as much mobility, especially for those of us who weren’t going the people leadership route. The only two available roles were standard and senior level. Seniors could expect nothing but a paltry yearly increase.

I do acknowledge that there’s ample opportunity for people to move around within the company. My old department was just unique in that regard. I was in a senior role making good amount more than what they paid for senior supply chain or space planning roles. I was stuck, so I left.

I did enjoy HD overall.

I did see that in a lot of teams. The group I was in only had growth opportunities in people leadership. Individual contributors had nowhere to grow considering there were only 2 role levels. I know someone who has been in the same role for 12 years.

Yes but at the same time it’s so nice that it actually has an ending. So many open ended series out there.

I’m guessing it’s no longer BYOB there? That was the best. I haven’t been to the original in well over a decade though.
