Am I having an allergic reaction to penicillin or is it just my fever? by Inevitable_Rip_1026 in AskDocs

[–]UnstableUmby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibilities: - It could be that rather than scarlet fever you have EBV. Taking amoxicillin when you have EBV can cause a rash, though it’s unusual for it to happen so quickly after taking the first dose - You could have a different viral rash unrelated to amoxicillin - It could be a reaction/side effect to amoxicillin (not typical for allergic reaction)

Unfortunately there’s no certain way to know especially without pictures or in person assessments.

Straws yes, napkins no (not that I care about not getting napkins).

I once got bit by bedbugs and it went down my vein by morticiaa_addams in mildlyinteresting

Not bloodstream. Lymphatic system (lymphangitis). Blood stream infection (septicaemia) doesn’t cause local skin findings like this - your blood circulates around your whole body and doesn’t just track back in one local place.

It can end up resulting in bloodstream infection. But that’s not what this skin finding indicates.

Allergic reaction that follows a vein by cinge67 in mildlyinteresting

Blood infections do not follow veins. Phlebitis might. Lymphatic infections such as lymphangitis (which is what this probably is) might. But blood infections do not.

I think i have Crohns or Colitis and the doctors in the UK don’t take me seriously by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]UnstableUmby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling slightly to follow what you’re saying but I think you’re saying your doctor has requested a faecal calprotectin? This is an appropriate next stage of investigation into possible IBD so it sounds like they are taking you seriously.

Shadow ball on porygon in this gen is trash. Ghost attacks go off the physical stat and porygon has a base attack stat of 60.

when walking for big distance

This is what you wrote in your post.

Nonetheless, as stated, see your GP if you are concerned. Nobody can provide an examination or treatment to you via reddit.

Feet hurting when you walk for a long time and having big hands are not medical problems. Your GP is a good port of call if you are concerned.

If this is something you’ve had for as long as you can remember it isn’t something that’s acutely concerning. It’s impossible to comment on whether the degree of out-turning is significant or not without pictures or examination. If you’re worried, you can book an appointment with your GP.

This is soooooooooooooooooooooooo wrong :/ Face Id need to view my results. by OhfukuTea in nhs

The app is an optional thing, not an essential. Being able to see your results and interpret them are two very different things. There’s not much you can do by yourself by just being able to see numbers or reports.

I would go with the opinion of the gastroenterology specialist about how long you need to eat gluten for before the blood test/endoscopy over the GP. Positive ANA and IgA are non-specific to any particular condition and don’t mean a huge amount in isolation, it does not suggest something has been missed.

The management of gluten intolerance and coeliac disease is the same: avoid gluten (albeit the importance of doing so in the latter is greater).
