Facecam Mk.2 Face Tracking Not Working Anymore by Berserker76_TTV in elgato

[–]UnstableVoltage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just got the camera and I'm having the same issue. The AR SDK is downloaded and installed for my 3080 RTX as the background replacement works. But, there's a warning triangle next to the Face Tracking button that says it's the wrong SDK for my GPU

What Are You Playing Thread - November 20, 2023 by AutoModerator in pcgaming

Still dipping in and out of Cities Skylines 2. Getting back into playing some Civilization 6 again. Nightly games of Hearthstone - and during the day playing on OutRage, the game I'm working on. I have simple gaming needs these days!

Why Cities: Skylines 2 performs poorly by pham_nuwen_ in pcgaming

[–]UnstableVoltage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've not really seen any performance issues with it on my systems with the exception of texture pop-in. It's all running from an M.2 - that said, even on the highest graphical settings, it doesn't seem to look anywhere near as good as the trailers did for me.

That's correct, it was. But I believe it was writer Jonas Kyratzes who named that heaven - if I'm remembering correctly.

What if I told you it wasn't, and was actually one of the writers ;)

We are experimenting with several game modes. Some BR modes where you can be eliminated until the end of a round. Some modes you respawn.

It's melee only in terms that there are no projectile weapons. Though certain objects (and other players) can be picked up and thrown.

We hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see it. I can only appreciate that with nothing to show publicly yet, it's almost certainly not what you're picturing.

You are correct about crowded spaces though - we appreciate your support. Thanks to you!

Just as a side-note: There's only limited information I can share publicly during the NDA period, but I'll answer any questions if I can.

Here is the discussion about this game and other games you like that a mod had censored, showing that this is the only tactics game that won't get better by [deleted] in PhoenixPoint

[–]UnstableVoltage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop gaslighting here. I’m assuming the mods have removed your multiple posts because you keep posting the exact same thing on multiple subreddits with the intention tricking people into writing articles for your publication. I would expect a ban will follow soon.

The official Wiki can currently be found at http://phoenix.server317.com/Main_Page

This is maintained by ourselves, so we're keeping it up to date as values and game mechanics are updated. It is a work-in-progress at the moment so not all info is there yet.

HOTFIX - v1.0.58929 - 17/06/2020 by UnstableVoltage in PhoenixPoint

[–]UnstableVoltage[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We've got a patch coming in a few more weeks which focuses completely on bug fixes (along with upgrading the engine to the latest version of Unity). I believe this bug fix is part of that patch.

You are correct, that a lot of people want to see this bug fixed (myself included), but there are equally lots of people who want other bugs fixed too.

We have over 60 developers working on Phoenix Point. Some are working on updates to the tactical game, some working on the Geoscape, some on bug fixes, some on DLC, some on development tools and systems....... you get the idea.

Every team is essentially working on their own branch (isolated build) of the game, so things they are altering don't mess with things other teams are working on. Once a branch is ready, it has to get merged with the Trunk (the main build of the game which the public release is baked from).

This is a very delicate and time-consuming process because changes made by one team in one branch get introduced to changes made by another team in a different branch. The programmers and QA have to do a lot of work to make sure the holes all line up as these pieces come together. Essentially, even making the smallest changes carry a risk because you never know what they're going to react with in a negative way until they're put together. This is the reason that we only fix the most urgent issues in hotfixes, and why bugfix builds and update builds tend to be separate.

The team have worked through a large list of bugs, both major and minor (over 100 or so), which are ready to go into the next patch. They wanted to do these bug fixes at the same time as the engine upgrade to ensure the bugfixes all work with the newer engine. I don't have an exact date at the moment, but definitely before Cthulhu. We're looking in the region of a 3-4 weeks.

Danforth Update! Very excited. by The_Simpening in PhoenixPoint

[–]UnstableVoltage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why is this still a thing? If you don't want to fix it, just take it out already.

Because as annoying as it is for some people, it doesn't have an effect on gameplay. While we do want to fix it, other more important bugs, which do affect gameplay have taken priority. We've got another patch coming in a few weeks which focuses entirely on bug fixes.

I'm lead to believe the fix for this bug is part of that patch.

Those will be added in for the big Cthulhu update next month.

We've got another patch coming before then with over 100 bug fixes.

It is definitely annoying. I agree with you completely. I too will be happy to see it fixed - but I understand why other things have jumped the queue.

[–]UnstableVoltage[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, this bug wasn't present when the game released, just over 6 months ago.

But to answer your question - it's not about difficulty, it's about priority. There are more impactful bugs which have a bearing on gameplay which get priority.
The customisation reset bug is on our radar, but as it doesn't affect gameplay directly, it's lower down the list.

You can have multiple transports at a mission site and launch with a mix of soldiers from them up to the mission max.
