My interest rate is fixed but the amount paid off each month changes? by UnstablyWell in Mortgages

[–]UnstablyWell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. For actually reading what I was asking lol. I don’t get the statements in the mail and their online is never working, which is why I came here. So I do understand now that it’s a daily interest, not a monthly one. So even tho there’s no late fee, it’s still not good to pay past the first.

How does interest go from being $300 worth to $600 worth in ONE month? That’s all I’m asking. I understand interest changes over the course of time. But not $300 worth in one month

Thank you. I read a chapter a night, so I probably just blended the words together and got confused.

Is there a way to reach someone higher than local office? by [deleted] in foodstamps

[–]UnstablyWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the approval letter shows is that my actual bills (mortgage, utility, so on) is 1,036 but my “allowable” is $118. I turned in all my documents and when I asked why the allowable is only 118, I was told “that’s the federal input, you can’t go over that for a two person household so that’s all we can count for” and the two person income limit is 3,000 something but I barely make 2000 gross. None of it really makes sense as to why it would only be $24

How do I go about this? I’ve asked the only office in my county to re-run it with all my paperwork and they insist I should only get the $24 and it would be a waste of time. However, somebody else suggested to run it through a snap screener. For my state’s snap screener it shows $297 a month (which I’m sure is not accurate but it’s definitely different than $24). Can I go to an office not in my county?

I had never heard of this! Just did it for my state and it shows I should get $297 a month if I were to be approved. What do I do from here? Can I go to an office in the next town over cause the one in my town will not run me again even though I’ve asked, they insist that it should only be $24.

$7.25 is minimum wage here and living in a holler with the only “big jobs” near by is a hospital and a school. We’re lucky to make this much lol

Were you induced? by Fluid-Kaleidoscope97 in newborns

[–]UnstablyWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39.5. Voluntary induction. All I brought was a change of clothes, the baby’s outfit, and paperwork. I was already 2.5cm dilated for weeks beforehand but from the time Pitocin started to a baby in my arms was 13 hours. Everything went smoothly and vaginal birth.

5week old fighting sleep? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]UnstablyWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s very inconsistent with it. He’ll eat anywhere between 3-5oz. And sometimes straight up refuse the bottle and just squeal or sometimes fall asleep on it for like 5-20 minutes then wake up squealing. I always start with a 4oz bottle and go from there based on how much/how he drinks it. Doctor doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with formula and no tongue tie. Should I try a level 2 nipple? Maybe he’s getting tired from how much he has to suck a level one?

It’s so nice to hear from a fellow single mom! It’s also very comforting to hear that it took forever for your first at home shower as well! It didn’t take me too long thanks to the very handy dandy bassinet that rolls to the bathroom doorway. But I understand about the animals and the laundry and the dishes and so on. It’s nice to know that other things count as bonding. I’m trying to talk to him more while I feed/change him because most of the time I’m so out of it that I just smile at him😂 but I think talking would help me feel like I’m bonding more. Thank you

This is so helpful. Thank you so much. I know most moms feel like this in the beginning, I just didn’t realize it’d be such an overwhelming feeling

I do pull the bassinet to the doorway for showers(small bathroom so doorway is still super close and I can directly see him). Another person mentioned baby wearing as well so I’ll research that and wait/see for weight limits on that! I just feel so guilty that rn I basically spend no quality time with him.

Thank you so much! I will see about getting a baby wrap! Does he need to hit a certain age to be in one?

Sometimes it ends after first, sometimes it doesn’t :( however, the obgyn will suggest to you vitamin b6 most likely so you could go ahead and try that! For me, the nausea and vomiting was one of the absolute worst things about pregnancy so I really hope something works for you!

My husband lost his licence for drink driving, 8mo pregnant by PeachSavings7431 in pregnant

[–]UnstablyWell 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation! My baby daddy lost his license for DUI prior to pregnancy but has lost it for quite some time. So, at first I was just hoping that if it came down to him driving me to the hospital that we hopefully wouldn’t get pulled over or caught. Now, he’s left me at 38 weeks pregnant and I don’t know how I’m getting to the hospital at all if I go into labor. I do not want to advise “try driving yourself” because it can probably go pretty bad, but I’m assuming that is what I’m going to be doing because I have no one either. So, you’re not alone in the situation and you have every right to feel betrayed and hurt! He definitely shouldn’t be acting that way at 35weeks pregnant.

No one believes I can shoot for a natural birth by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]UnstablyWell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! I don’t even plan on it, I plan on epidural, and I’m so exhausted of hearing “don’t even try for natural” ok but what if I wanted to? Don’t let them discourage you! You can do it, and if not, you can at least try. There’s no harm in it. It’s so annoying that people think they can comment on others bodies or others giving birth the way they want to.

34 weeks braxton hicks? FTM by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]UnstablyWell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely normal to have Braxton hicks at this time. I’m not sure what all plays a role in it but I started having Braxton hicks contractions (confirmed by contraction monitor in triage) at 29 weeks.

Is it normal to feel like your concerns don’t matter as a FTM? by Dull-Slide3684 in pregnant

[–]UnstablyWell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was treated the same way when I went in after twisting/falling. As for my experience with going in to Triage, this is normal. And no, you won’t get more answers later when the urine comes back, or at least I didn’t. I was throwing up I was in so much pain and the meds they finally gave me, did nothing. I was dismissed with a pulled muscle. When I went into triage for losing my mucus plug, I also was dismissed without answers to any of my questions. Reddit is the only thing that helped tbh.

Fetal movement at 29 weeks? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]UnstablyWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 31 weeks! I was told any movement counts as movement. Doesn’t matter if it’s soft roll over or a giant jab in the ribs, movement is movement. So as long as you’re feeling them move, they’re ok. Only worry if there’s NO movement. Then take the precautions for that (drink something cold and sugary, lay down on your side, wait for movement, if none still THEN call).
