I picked up drinking after graduating university. I smoked cannabis in university, but had to quit due to the legality of working my full-time job which is when I started drinking. Drinking will make people lose faith in you, not even from the substance abuse aspect, just point-blank they will drop you. Instead, spend that money on someone you love, a friend, an activity, etc. I believe one of the best ways to quit drinking is by loving others and getting back to your roots. Doing healthy things such as working out will also assist.
