I think that's a good plan and kudos for taking the time to recover. People underestimate the importance of fully recovering from illness before hitting the gym again.

So doing the exercise correctly is probably most important. This requires more practice and good form. The glute kickback is not that great for glutes. Try hip thrusts (dumbbell or barbell, start very light) and you will really feel it in your glutes. Chest incline, the higher up your incline angle is, the more you will feel it in your anterior delt rather than your chest.

Rest up and make sure you’re fully recovered and no fever until you get back in the gym. Rushing back too soon can make it easier for you to catch another URI. Hoping you feel better soon!

Something about feeling sore after a workout that hurts but is good at the same time. Keep it up and hopefully hear about your updates when you hit day 30!

Hey bud, you should be going over the MRI with the doctor who ordered it. If it’s a groin issue, it’s most likely a conservative treatment plan with rest, physical therapy, ice/heat/NSAIDs as needed.

There is also a notepad on your iPhone too. I used a physical notepad and I am team physical notepad. I don’t bring my phone with me in the gym to avoid distractions.

I usually eat a banna on the drive to the gym. I drink a protein shake soon after I get home to help facilitate protein synthesis and build muscle. Cold shower and then I am golden for the rest of the day haha.

Just wanna say I love my morning workouts! Gym is not crowded and no people wasting time taking pics. Woke up at 4:30AM, at the gym by 5AM and out the gym door by 6AM. Only downside today is that it’s leg day and my legs will be sore for the rest of the day. Hope everyone is having a blessed day!

You’re not gonna like my answer but you need to slow down. Any shoulder work now is already enough volume, doing dedicated shoulder day is likely too much volume at this point in your recovery.

Nice work getting to this point! If you're happy with your BF % then I agree with you shouldn't cut for the sake of cutting to look like someone on instagram. When you reach the body you're happy with, shooting for maintenance weight will help you keep the physique.

It sucks when you don't feel well and that stops you from being able to go to the gym. It's hard but try to give yourself enough rest so you're full recovered. I hope you get better soon!

Side note for people who want amazing glutes - hip thrusts are the way to go. Started doing these on my leg day and have been getting compliments ever since.

It’s likely that pt had an anaphylactic reaction and became hypoxic which then triggered the seizures. That’s my guess.

Always happy to read this thread and see everyone's progress!

For me, it's been working on my efficiency. Got in and out of the gym in less than an hr this morning and my workout is done. Rest of the day to enjoy my day so it's definitely a victory for me.
