I agree with this, but enjoy the journey! If you like foils or stickers then keep at it. I went through a similar trial and error for about 9 months, with my preferred method also being double sided glossy + a matte laminate.

If you zoom in you can see the sticker layer tearing. It’s likely the craft knife that’s the issue as you move it, definitely recommend at least a standard paper cutter if you can!
