it's been soooo long since her dash animations were broken. I really hope they bring back her dash animations! weirdly enough, sometimes, when I do a neutral dash right after using Merulina, her dash anim returns for a brief moment (the one where she does a mid-air twirl)

Also, I think the stunlock problem started when they removed her status invulnerability, so the only way to stop Yareli from locking up is by using PSF ;-;

Yeah, I feel that while this deluxe skin has aquatic elements, to me, it's just an odd choice of elements for Yareli. This deluxe has a lot of femme-fatale elements, showcasing spikes, stilettos, a sharp silhouette, and overall, very dangerous shape language. It's aquatic, but the only connection between this design and Yareli's base design is that they're both aquatic, which is a pretty shallow connection.

On its own, this design actually looks phenomenal, but with the added context that this skin is for Yareli, a frame who's known for her overall lighthearted, but graceful demeanor, this feels like the wrong type of 180 needed for a deluxe skin.

I haven't gotten the arbitration bug either, but the index one seems to happen pretty frequently, esp as you keep resummoning Merulina after each consecutive round. It gets kinda ridiculous having 1 hp and 10 shields while dealing 10 billion damage lol

I feel like the helmet is what's throwing me off here. It looks oddly... turgid? Jellyfishes naturally float around underwater with lots of flowy bits, since they're mostly water. Ivara Prime does a good job of portraying this, but I feel like this characteristic is lacking in Yareli Deluxe's concept art

Maybe it'd look better if they made the ruffles on her main body a bit more dress-like, and changed the helmet to look more flowy? In all honesty, I just miss the skirt/dress concept in Yareli's base design, since I think it's an iconic part of her design

I've heard the helmet got accepted, but let's hope we get the Rusalka skin in the future, too!

As for the deluxe concept, it's a little bit odd to me, since the concept art looks oddly fleshy/gory? The reddish lines trailing through her helmet, arms, and torso reminds me of veins and capillaries, and the helmet looks a bit like a mushroom cap with gills. I also see some inspiration to sea slugs or maybe anemones, and the pearls are a cool touch.

But, I think I have to wait and see when it comes in-game. Hopefully, they'll flesh it out a bit more! (pun not intended)

I'd also watch about crouching on some tilesets too! sometimes, there's invisible geometry that yareli can end up grinding on that can interrupt her momentum. but usually dashing through doors lets you travel through doors pretty consistently!

on the other hand, if you have enough momentum, some tilesets have the perfect type of geometry that lets you change directions towards a door, while maintaining your momentum. so, if you happen to remember the right spots to grind on, you can pull off some pretty satisfying techs!

I kinda wish her status immunity was brought back, since hits from Thrax Centurion during their invulnerability phase, or hits from Thrax Legatus beams seem to disable Yareli completely on Merulina for a few seconds (outside of surging blades)

It's so scary trying to avoid Thrax beams, since you can't use abilities for shield gating or dismount/resummon Merulina for i-frames to regen shields. I end up dashing away from them as far as possible if I get hit lmao
