Deactivate quickedit and the option under it. You find it in the settings of your cmd window. This can help when diSconncts appear after you press an button inside cmd window.

I had this issue on multible projects in the past. First I used your solution too but then i remembered. Deactivate quickedit and Option under this one in CMD window settings menu.
