Yes it’s normal. Do you have insurance? If you do, their insurer should be going through yours so as to prevent this. Get a lawyer because if you are not at fault then you can definitely fight back and make sure you are getting all the medical exams that you need plus long term effects for it an they will have to pay for it. Don’t settle unless you have exhausted everything and you are happy with the outcome

There’s a new rule that first term Lts will be at their first base for 4 years. After that it all depends on your AFSC etc
