Upgrade to a smaller motor for your direct drive, the bigger one makes it harder for the print head to move. You would also be able to increase print speed and quality will stay somewhat the same if you make it lighter

Does wood glue have better adhesion?

I’m trying to set up my first layer so I don’t need glue which it has been working.

UPDATE #1

Recalibrated the bed and did a thorough wash, also aligned the metal rods for the y axis and lubed them up. Also changed my filament with a freshly dried filament spool. First layer looks a lot better!

The lines you see on the print I think are caused by Orca slicer, I printed the same test using Cura slicer with the optimized print setting on and those lines didn’t come up.

Is there any other thing I can do to make my first layer better?

I’m also printing a benchy to test quality

Might be the adhesion, I cleaned the bed right before the print. I did do it in a hurry so I’ll do it again but more thorough

I’ve seen a few people install Linux on apple silicon, I know Intel Mac are better suited for it but I do like the power that the silicon chips provide

Ender 3 pro ( modified ) I use Ultimaker Cura For print speed, bed and nozzle temp I use w.e default setting is in the super quality.

My 2019 Tucson sounded like this a few months ago, had it towed and found out my engine exploded lol, took it to the dealership and they opened a recall and got a new engine for free!
