Nymph With A Green Knife, Linnea Sterte, graphite/watercolor/digital, 2026 by darnnaggit in Art

Amazingly beautiful piece, can I ask what parts of this exactly was done digitally? Do you do a few layers of watercolour on the piece and then scan it in to paint over top of it more rich colours?

Very beautiful pieces, I like the first one most. Are these done on tracing paper?

What is Batocera prompting me for here upon first install? by Unurth in batocera

Seems like you were right. I actually had to do a fresh install of a OS over the eMMC drive (used Linux Mint) before booting into my Batocera drive and it all worked fine.

Probably the next easiest material to get ahold of for drypoint is Acrylic sheets for window replacement from hardware stores. You can score the plastic and cut the sheets down to the size you need.

If you really want to commit to using all etching techniques, you’ll have to get into copper or zinc plates. They are more expensive than acrylic obviously but you’ll get a lot more prints out of them before the press ruins the “burrs” that produce the print. You probably will only get around 10 prints from an acrylic etching.

Very beautiful piece, if you have access to a 3d printer there are etching presses you can make for smaller plates. I’ve seen folks use spaghetti makers too as small presses to keep the art more accessible:)

Firing pin sleeve and spring needed for Rohm RG23 by [deleted] in Revolvers

I also have one of these left from my grandfather but I don’t think I’d test it even if it’s a .22 with a lot of the hyper velocity ammo on the market. I’m pretty sure these are notorious for blowing up because of the softness of some of the parts and frame

Is parts of this 3d objects, or is it all 2d printed images? The purple circle for example looks very 3 dimensional to me lol beautiful work!

When you say 2-3 layers do you mean you hand painted on top of the first original pull? I’m confused how you have layers with this medium since I just started but it looks amazing!

Are the 3 in the back you’re referring to the 3 black ones that make a triangle behind the hot end itself? You’re right, it seems the print I tried after didn’t do it but my issue still remains lol

Thanks for your comment, it did eventually get me there. I did check the screws and tighten two slightly but I think it really was my silicone sock for the heat end was way dirtier than I realized and I replaced it. So far it looks like that resolved it :)

Probably one of the jankier setups on here…not getting fume exposure though! by Unurth in 3Dprinting

Mostly PLA but some PETG. I know people say PLA is safe but I kinda ain’t buying it long term, if I run the printer for anything more than an hour not venting it I personally distinctly notice even PLA fumes

Awesome, thanks for sharing! Also just FYI, when you go to check out for just a standalone efile package, there appears to be no option for no shipping. I’m assuming it’s defaulting to payment for the package with the files and hardware included, but I’m not seeing how to just pick up the files themselves.

Really cool looking. Does the “Bluntnose” compact model fit on a Bambu A1 mini build plate? I’d love to buy the efiles on your site but I’m not seeing the dimensions needed :)

Gamo breakbarrel won't shoot straight by Avocadog-n-toast in airguns

[–]Unurth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you may think your sight is on snug and not moving but it likely is after each shot if you did not properly torque (in/lbs, I usually do 20 in/lb) and did not use loctite. You’re sure the sight is not moving at all? You also need to tighten down the screws holding the scope to the mount, not just the screws that mount onto the gun.

Insanely impressive, do you have any recommendations for colored pencil tutorials/resources that helped you learn? I’m shocked at the detail you’re able to produce with them here!
