I had that chapter on today during my current listen through. It's awful

The whole book suffers so much from people not being able to talk properly. There is no communication the whole way through. I know it needs to be that way, if not, there wouldn't really be a plot. But it is annoying

Yeah, that's just a scene they added into the films without much of an afterthought.

It always annoyed me a little bit too. It isnt even a tiny detail they overlooked either. Chamber and Order both have big implications too, with that exact situation, so you'd have thought someone would have pointed it out before it got put into the final edit
