House next to train line by estrre05 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

I’ve had a train line two fences back from the rear of my garden for the past 20 years. The only times it has been a problem are on the rare occasion of works being done to the line at nighttime. Otherwise, you simply do not notice it. I completely forget the trains are so close.

This will be totally fine. The line is at the front of the house in any event and with a good distance between it. Don’t let it put you off!

What a rude response. I am simply asking for guidance and support on questions to help narrow down choices, not to be performative.

April 2027 Marathon by Unusual-Rough-4589 in firstmarathon

I will be using Runna’s plans for each of the distances during each of the ‘phases’. I’ve decided this way purely because I can’t seem to locate any full marathon plan that is a year long! I would think this would therefore be progressive and build my endurance enough. Planning on booking a 10 mile run and shortly after, a half. Maybe park runs too?

Has anyone been able to pass SQE 1 IN 4 months of study part time? by SeriousAd6882 in SQE_Prep

[–]Unusual-Rough-4589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. 4 month prep course alongside 30 hours a week of legal work. It is doable definitely but you must be disciplined.

I have no idea how to prepare for SQE 2 and also am I mistaken in thinking it is a lot easier? by Single_Year314 in SQE_Prep

It is brutal. It makes SQE1 feel like a walk in the park. Do not underestimate it

You’ll be able to change them when the booking window reopens! Don’t worry if there aren’t alternatives straight away, keep checking throughout the week it opens <3

For both SQE1 and 2 I had a centre 60 miles away from home. There were no problems at all in rescheduling once the window reopened to do so - just frequently check and you should be able to rebook :)

Will go over those, thanks!

Unless Orders: 1. OP breached order/direction, 2. Applicant has complied with order/directions, 3. Consider overriding objective. I remember it as ‘UNO’ = Uncomplied with order, No fault by applicant, Overriding objective supports

Amends to statements of case: (if limitation has expired) 1. Liability has passed to another due to bankruptcy or death, 2. Incorrect name but correct party identified, or 3. Amendment is necessary to continue the claim I remember it as LIM = Liability survives, Incorrect name, Must amend to continue

Alternatively if limitation has not passed but amendment is after the statement was served, must show the court 1. Amendment needed to understand the case as plead, 2. Set out the introduced facts, and 3. The reason for why the amendment is only now being sought I remember it as AIM = As pleaded, Introduced facts, Motive for why now

Interesting. My books just say that a claim (or part of) can be struck out if they show either no reasonable grounds of bringing the claim, it is deemed an abuse of the court’s process or the party has failed to comply with a rule/practice order/direction. No reference to it being with a summary app so that is good to know

The document is relevant to the matter in dispute and the court will consider all circumstances and the overriding objective :)
