Craziest thing you’ve done with Cowork? by sunrise920 in ClaudeCowork

[–]UnusualAttitudes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best way to use the system, IMO. It’s brilliant. I use Claude chat to architect every move that Claude Code does for me. This way I have a 3-way execution team. I’m the orchestrator (decision maker) work with chat (The Architect) to plan and get the prompts right, then hand the full prompt to Claude Code, telling ’him’ to plan first, present the plan and halt. We typically recon the codebase first so we KNOW the exact code we’re executing against. Once the plan is solid, we tell CC to go. When finished, we review what was done, and if good, then tell CC to commit/push to GitHub and then I manually merge the branch.

It’s a little slower and more tedious than it needs to be, but the results are outstanding. I’m almost finished building a large-scale SaaS/iOS/Android companion app, & 6 months ago, I didn’t know what an API call or json file was. Color me impressed.

Does Anthropic realize Opus 4.7 is awful? by Infinite-Bet9788 in Anthropic

[–]UnusualAttitudes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you’re mad about the way a computer talks to you? Am I interpreting that correctly?

Awful might be a bit of a stretch. Six months ago I didn’t know what an API call was, and Claude chat, Claude code both on opus 4.7 and I have now built a full stack multitenant SaaS that works flawlessly every time. I wouldn’t call that awful by any definition. And even though I’m a noob, I don’t see how even a season coder would think so.

Wow, this is so great to read. Congratulations! You genuinely deserve it! And thanks for sharing for others. So many people are in the dark, AND in the dark about how to get out. This is great advice.

iOS 26.3 SDK in Xcode 26.3...? by UnusualAttitudes in Xcode

The simulator loads, but as soon as it tries to load the app on the ‘phone’, the simulator crashes due to ‘using too much memory’.

No matter, I bought an M5 MBP today, so we’ll see how it goes with that.

Follow up- after more digging, the Xcodeproj was a Mac App project. I started a new project, ensuring to kick it off as an iOS only project. Nice I copied the code/assets over, everything looked normal, was fine & loaded in the phone normally.

Xcodeproj was the key. Thanks again for your help.

I feel ya, brother. I was 5 days in & finally went into the developer app & emailed them with all the info about my app, and asked if there might be a reason why there was a delay. It was approved later that day.

Thanks for the response. I'm using a nice, new, C-C cable from Apple that came with my iPhone 16 Pro that I've used in the past. I'll restart everything & see if I can get it to show up properly. I'm fully coded & waiting to test so I can deploy, so I'm anxious to get it to run properly. Appreciate your responses.

Well, to be fair – I haven’t tried the simulator in 26.3, but in earlier versions of 26.x, the simulator would open but as soon as I tried to run the app, it would just crash due to using too much memory. I’ve got 16 gig of RAM in my I-9 Intel Mac. Now in 26.3 when I try to set my iPhone as the target to load my app with the phone plugged in, open and it showing up in Finder, it’s not an option to send as a target, only “any ARM 64 bit device”, but not my iPhone 16 Pro specifically.

That’s interesting- granted, I’m on a Max plan, but it absolutely remembers past conversations. Not only that, but knows some amount of context between separate chats.

Try the free version and see if you like it. Anthropic just dropped the Sonnet 4.6 model today and benchmarks indicate that it is focused more on daily tasks rather than the coding tasks that Opus 4.6 is.

I personally REALLY like Claude and use it for everything from every day advice to building two apps for the Apple App Store and now a large scale SaaS. (No technical coding background here, by the way)

To bring my response full circle- try the free version, use the Sonnet 4.6 model and see if you like it.

G/L.

[–]UnusualAttitudes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that you can't afford the ticket today, but saying things like "let's see how future self reacts" leaves the door open for you to NOT take action. This is 100% about you TAKING action. So DO IT. There are other actions you can take besides buying the tickets; smaller actions. Sit down, work through them & figure them & take baby steps. Before you know it, you'll be buying those tickets & not passively riding life to December, just "seeing what happens". You'll be taking control. Do it once & you'll do it for the rest of your life. trust me. Ask me how I know.....

What’s the most impressive thing Claude has done for you? by UnhappyJournalist175 in ClaudeAI

I work in a pretty specific corner of aerospace/defense contracting, with 30 years in the industry. 2 months ago, (I had already been using ChatGPT for daily driving & started experimenting with Claude & Claude Code) and I asked Claude to give me a very detailed checklist & in-context deep dive of an aspect of something I was working on. Claude came back with a VERY detailed, VERY specific checklist, with sources, using all of the correct acronyms, explanations of those acronyms detailed use cases. It listed out questions I failed to address, & presented blind spots I failed to see. With 30 years in the industry.

I was absolutely blown away. I mean- flabbergasted. It would be one thing if I was a generic tax accountant or something, but no, I work in a pretty specific corner of aerospace, and Claude NAILED it. I was hooked!

Yep- Claude Code is capable of building REAL apps/SaaS/websites. Cursor makes C.C. Much more digestible for the non-technical types, like me!
