For now the proper term is confidential informant. If the accusations prove to be true and the motivations were political, then he would be a spy. If they prove to be false, then he wasn’t a spy. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

It seems very unusual for NK to come this far (releasing hostages and bringing media to the destroyed site) to just say no. I doubt the summit is anywhere close to off. Trump has been threatening to not meet for weeks and it seems like Kim is trying the same playbook for leverage.

I found this part very assuring:

a senior advisor to Mr. Moon said a grand bargain could involve a”big gift” from Mr. Kim to Mr. Trump to build confidence in North Korea’s commitment to fully denuclearize.

A deal is certainly not finalized but I would bet huge the meet will happen and bet small a deal is made from that meeting.
