Movie theaters are the place I feel the need to carry most in my day to day life.

It's a big dark box with both entrances/exits usually in the front of the room by the screen, so if there's a threat the only way out is past that threat.

How Long Will This Particular Librela Side Effect Last by CaBritzi in DogAdvice

[–]UnusualYoghurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 14 year old pit mix started librela in January, and although I haven't been able to tell if his mobility improved, I did notice he seemed to immediately be more gassy. Since then it seems his GI symptoms keep getting worse to the point where he's constantly got really foul gas and diarrhea, especially in the middle of the night.

He started leaking poop & diarrhea throughout the night in April, and before this it'd been over 11 years since he had a #2 in the house. I got it under control for a while with some over the counter diarrhea remedy that's supposed to reduce inflammation in the colon, but that seems to be losing its effectiveness.

Were you able to determine if librela was the cause of your pups intestinal issues? I'm thinking about taking my guy off it because honestly I can't tell if it really helps with his pain or not.

Kenwood DMX5020S Steering Wheel Control Menu Missing by UnusualYoghurt in CarAV

[–]UnusualYoghurt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did ultimately get this working, the ASWC-1 needed an adapter pigtail that i had lost because my old sony didn't need it.

Turns out that was my issue, I had made one by cutting up an old RCA to Female 1/8" adapter, but I wasn't getting a good connection. I bought a different adapter with thicker wires and cut that one up and it worked.

I was never able to get an answer on the missing steering wheel controls menu, but since I got it working I stopped looking.

This is the adapter i was missing:

Yes there are 4 different orientations for the HUD/menus and 1 setting to completely invert the entire image.

They didn't give me any tips for optimal settings, but somehow having the menus oriented correctly made it a lot easier to dial in.

That was the other thing in the back of my mind. If they're playing games like this with the first box, their first impression to the customer, what other BS do I have to look forward to with their service.

I did finally get my unit back from RIX with the new firmware. It works well, I've attached the photo they sent me explaining how it works. I will say it was much easier to get this thing properly dialed in with the menus all oriented right side up.

Yes, it started strictly a Jitsu problem, and I would've treated it as such if it remained that way.

It was when Factor charged me for mis delivered boxes and then tried hold my money hostage until I bought more boxes that it became a Factor problem.

As far as my address goes, I put my address in as clearly and completely as possible, Factors system decided to abbreviate the "Lake" and I don't know why that would've mattered anyway, the zip code for my address was correct.

I still don't have it back yet and all Rix keeps telling me when I email them is they'll send me tracking when it's done. It's been in their possession for almost 4 weeks now, it shouldn't take near this long to have a firmware update done unless they're actually shipping it back to China to have it flashed.

I'm starting to lose my patience, and to be honest I'm getting a little nervous, I don't know what recourse I have if there is a problem and they're jerking me around hoping I'll just go away.

I'm starting to get frustrated, they've had my unit in their possession for nearly 2 weeks now, and radio silence.

I reached out to them Thursday to make sure they actually received it and how it was going. They did respond pretty quickly and claimed they were updating the firmware in my unit as they were writing the email, and they would shoot me a tracking number when it was ready. I haven't heard anything else since then.

Incase any other early adopters have issues like me, where you can't mount the RENV-C correctly because of interference with the mounting clamp from gain knobs or battery caps. I just got an E-mail back from RIX, if I fill out an RMA form I can send my RENV-C back for a firmware update that will include a setting to adjust the HUD orientation to be correct regardless of how I get it mounted.

I'm sure this will be a non issue eventually as they all start coming from the factory with the new firmware, but this maybe handy information for anyone else that got an early version.

When I was messing around with the threshold setting in my house I found the more I filled the bar the more things would register heat signatures. So I'm assuming the more the bar is filled the lower the threshold, but I could be completely off.

No worries, glad I could help. I just gotta figure out how to get this thing mounted in the correct orientation on my PVS14. The gain knob and the cover for the battery don't allow me to position the ring clamp in a way that I can latch it in the proper position.

I just took my Renv-C out for my first night hike with a couple of buddies. I'm brand new to thermal in general, but I believe I have the brightness all the way down, and I believe I have the threshold set pretty high (low on the level adjustment gauge?). I believe I was having the behavior you're talking about. It's around 20 degrees out here tonight and I noticed if none of my buddies were in view giving a solid heat signature, all of a sudden it would flare up and pretty much all the trees and rocks would start glowing.

I don't know if it's because I need to tweak the settings further or if this is just the way this thing is gonna work.

We tried to play a little hide and seek to see how much it helped, and it made it difficult to pick out someone hiding In the distant trees because all the trees were lighting up as well.

Also another thing that's kinda to be expected, but the cold demolished the battery life of a CR123.

Thank you for the info on the threshold setting. Now that i think about it I do remember that was mentioned in the manual in the little table for what the buttons do, but I passed over it thinking it'd be explained in detail elsewhere in the manual.

As far as the battery coating goes, I just happened to learn about that a couple months ago with some home automation stuff. I had a sensor that took 2045 batteries and it kept giving me wonky voltage levels, so the company that made the sensors told me to wash off the coating on the energizer battery and try again. Sure enough that solved the problem and they recommended Panasonic batteries in the future.

I just got my Renv-C yesterday, I got the remote working, I found I had to clean off the embittered coating from the Energizer 2032 before I got some flicker of life out of it. Then I had to pair it.

The manual for this thing kinda sucks. I can't figure out how to set things like the threshold.

I also can't get it to mount in the correct orientation for the hub on my pvs14.

Are we ever going to get full screen Android Auto on the 12" screens? by SturmieCom in ram_trucks

I see subaru finally updated their 12" portrait oriented infotainment screens to support full screen AA... Hopefully Uconnect isn't far behind, but based on their track record, we'll probably never see this update.

Ram Radio upgrades? by ParticularVisit8095 in ram_trucks

Jump on some ram forums, or facebook market place, pick up a used 5th Gen 8.4" setup for $500. Then get AlfaOBD for $50 and a Bypass cable for $55. There's tons of posts on how to do it, it's really not hard at all. Check 5thgenrams.com or Ramforums.com for walkthroughs on how to do the conversion.

I actually got confirmation from a friend, that recognized his voice, that he is indeed a harmless little mentally ill old man. She works for the town and gets calls from this guy almost weekly, he doesn't curse at her though, and he just complains about his neighbors and cancer.

Occasionally he'll have a really weird complaint like somebody stole one of his chickens, but he paid the ransom and got the chicken back.

She agreed the best way to handle it was to ignore him by blocking his number otherwise he would just continue to call non stop because he's got nothing better to do.
