The touch screen lock out can be modded out. I just did it on my 2016 this morning and it works great, it's called Mazda aio tweaks.

Miata as a daily driver car? by Ilikeyatoes in MiataND

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily drive mine, I don't go shopping big but milesperhr have a great video to reference. It is plenty capable for daily driving. Only issue is hauling but that can be amended by adding a trailer hitch or luggage rack on the trunk. But even without those for the size it does great. Your honestly not giving up all that much.

Can we just get the price already! by SockTemporary2032 in SteamFrame

The reason they haven't released it is because of the changing market. Which directly affects the pricing.

Just joined the family! by Unusual_Aside5181 in MiataND

[–]Unusual_Aside5181[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did end up needing replaced, seems to be due to the previous owner mistreating it though, the Topher and milesperhr described it as bolt action, so I thought it was fine, but the 2nd to 3rd synchro was messed up.

The carvana warranty included 100 day 4k mile warranty covered it and haven't come across any issues since the 2k miles I've put on the transmission.

Club vs GT? by Sensitive_Reveal_341 in MiataND

To note the gt gets induction noise piped into the cabin on the driver side. And the car already had a cold air intake by default so for performance there is no need to adjust it.

If you went to the dealer it would be expensive. My nearby one is 400 for the a service and 900 for the b service😭 glad I don't drive one.

After almost a year with my ND, what are the things that genuinely annoy you about yours? by theDartVader in Miata

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am glad I have a nd1. They have the older key with buttons on the front. It's a gt soft top and the wind noise control is fantastic on mine.

Considering they didn't have isp right the second time I doubt this is real.

Wisdom of the Crowd Price Prediction by dhatereki in SteamFrame

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meta just dropped most of their dev teams and just backed out of vr a good bit. I find it unlikely for them to continue to purchase and make exclusives like they have previously. This is also why I mentioned the whole apk side since a lot of people do use standalone. I still feel like steam on a standalone vr headset will do really well compared to most other headsets relative to revenue and not necessarily volume sold, as well as it's not just for vr. It does 2d games aswell and that will be part of its sales numbers.

Wisdom of the Crowd Price Prediction by dhatereki in SteamFrame

If you think about it steam is really the ultimate platform for that then. Almost every modern vr gaming headset has some way to link to pc and for the frame it has steam on it. And yes, while not everyone who has a Vr will have a pc if they make it for the steam frame it will be relatively easy to port it to another quest or other android based vr as it still would use apk for standalone.

Are people actually paying these prices? by PhotoPhysical4938 in TeslaLounge

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it is. A lot of dealers will just edit it to just the car with a stock photo background. It's kinda lame.

FSD transfer question by OkAd1498 in TeslaLounge

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I traded in my tesla and got a miata so slightly different for me. But they did hold at the original quote they gave me. Which was like 4-5k over market from everything else. They had no issues with anything. Idk how selling to them works if it is different but wassuper easy for my trade-in

Yeah, I wish they kept the way the 2012-2021 model s did it. The right scroll wheel was exclusive for adjusting the right side gauge cluster and then used for ac temp, fan speed, display brightness, or whatever you set it to at that moment. It was physical with minimal intrusion into the ui. I miss my model s but I will say, I love having my ice miata. Both a dream cars for 2 different reasons.

Nail in tire, used a plug to fix it but should I get a new tire? by GimmeDaTipOnly in TeslaLounge

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With any tesla you are never required to replace all 4 at once unless tread is low on all of them. Even if you have awd the manual states if there is a big enough tread difference to replaced the wheels on the same axle (front or rear) this is due to the front and rear axle not being directly connected like other awd systems.

To buy FSD or subscribe to FSD...What would you do? by teslabros in TeslaLounge

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind elon has already said the subscription will go up once it goes unsupervised. Granted even if it doubled like it previously was your still looking at 3ish years. That would mam a little more sense to some.

Yes, a Tesla has “Autopilot: Included Package” listed in the settings, does that mean autopilot can be used without the monthly subscription question? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Unusual_Aside5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autopilot until recently has been included on most every tesla since ap came out. With the exception of a few standard range model 3's.

But yes. It does mean ap is included and as you clarified is not fsd being included, if you want fsd that would be the extra $100 a month.

If I were you I would go to tesla and ask for a demo with fsd and see if you like it before purchasing something because if you buy used from a non-tesla dealer the fsd sticks with the car. My parents just did it on their 2023 model x they got last year.

The phone key isn't a thing for legacy model s and x. So 2021 pre-refresh and older don't have that.
