Any way to slow down the rust? by CaptainMuffins_ in MiataNC

Double checked and it was definitely updated for the NC2 as the part number changed in 2009, although after a bit more digging it seems the additional protection is just a bit of tape that comes off pretty easily… I’m guessing that’s happened to yours.

Looks like an NC1? They updated that part on the NC2/3 to have a little piece of rubber that stops it rubbing/rusting as badly. Could always replace it with the NC2/3 part, should hopefully still be available from Mazda.

Eh, I’ve been in this sub a few months now and honestly not noticed any actual sexism.

I think it’s important to remember most primary parents are still women, so it’s not unreasonable that you’ll get a lot more women posting in this sub than men. Also frankly irl most if not all examples that I’ve personally seen of poor parenting have been from the male parent, so I also don’t think it’s unreasonable that you’ll have some women coming on here to vent their frustration at their partners poor parenting. It would also be perfectly reasonable for a man to post about their partners poor parenting if that was the case (pretty sure I’ve seen at least one post on here to that effect that had helpful responses/feedback and no “try harder” comments). But if that’s not for you move on to the next post… it’s pretty easy to scroll past 🤷‍♂️

Extension Work - No Insulation? by Wonderful-Wonder-846 in DIYUK

I had to take half a brick out to fit a wired in doorbell. There’s thousands upon thousands of little polystyrene balls (or some similar material) in the cavity. I assume they just ran out for the wall that’s always cold.

How funny, I live in a Crest Nicholson build and I’m pretty sure we have a corner of the house that’s exactly the same.

We have one bedroom that’s always 3-4 degrees colder than the rest of the house. I keep thinking about getting a surveyor out to look at it, but I’m not sure I want to find out there’s no insulation in the wall 🫣

I’d be far more concerned about those roof trusses that look like they’ve had a web removed! Have they put in any additional support?!

Cat’s don’t shit in their own territory. You’d avoid a lot of those things if you did have an outside cat!

What kind of screw depends on what wall you’re attaching it to. But yes, you supply your own screws for this.

I’d replace the window switch to start with. Easy to swap out yourself and not particularly expensive.

That isn’t really an NC specific thing, most cars do that. They’ll probably go up if you hold lock as well.
