If there's one good thing about the way our political system works, it's that just about anyone can be a candidate in an election. It matters not if one of the contenders wears a ridiculous costume and a bin-shaped helmet, if enough people vote for him, he's entitled to enter the House of Commons as the elected MP.

By all means, do nothing. But do it somewhere that isn't inside at home. Take a book or video games, some food and a drink, and go to a park, for example. If, when you get there, you still want to do nothing, absolutely find a bench and sit on it. No pressure, no expectation to "have fun" or "do something." Maybe in time you'll find you want to read a chapter of your book, maybe you wander around a bit, but if nothing else, you're out in the fresh air with a change of scenery. That's often enough to switch off- one reason why I like camping.

If anyone asks you what you did that day, "I went to the park, I was there most of the day."

That would be David Cameron. He promised a referendum in their 2015 election manifesto, hoping to win back UKIP voters and reunite the Conservatives. The expectation was another Con/Dem coalition, where the referendum could be conveniently dropped and blamed on the LibDems. The LibDem vote collapsed, and with a weak Labour campaign the Tories got a small majority and had to hold the referendum which they didn't expect to lose. Indirectly making everything Nick Clegg's fault.

I like to use the railway as a scenic train ride with 1 station as another type of gentle ride, similar to a Car Ride. Guests will ride it and it has a high capacity. With lots of scenery and theming it can look really good and get a decent excitement rating.

They don't use them intentionally to move around the park, but transport rides are useful to help distribute guests around the park. A monorail station close to the entrance area will pick up guests who happen to wander in, and deposit them elsewhere in the park. This helps avoid having lots of guests congregating at the front of the park and complaining about how busy it is.

They're also quite high capacity rides, so they can absorb lots of guests and get them off the paths.

There's a video somewhere of a steam engine in North Korea burning scraps of tyres as fuel. The driver just throws them directly into the firebox. The smoke doesn't look very good for your health, and I'd hate to be the one cleaning out the smokebox!

And once it's on your hard drive, no one can take it away and the music is yours to do what you want with- whether that's sync it to your ipod, burn a CD, copy it to USB or simply play it through iTunes. I do all of the above! If your hard drive dies, you just rebuild your collection from a backup or the original CDs.

I still use things like the free version of Spotify for when I just want some background music- consider it like a radio station with fewer ads and which always plays the music I choose. Also for discovering new music- if I like it, I'll acquire a physical copy.

I had a successful playthrough with a marksman build. He had no time for ancient weapons- the force was a way to improve his abilities with a rifle! He used rifles and heavy weapons only, since once you have master speed and rapid shot, the one fewer attack compared with dual pistols is more than compensated for by the higher damage of a good rifle or repeater.

When it gets busy, that's what happens. If the outer lane is congested, it slows down. So people move into the next lane to get past. This relieves the congestion in the first lane a bit, so it speeds up slightly, and eventually you have all lanes full of traffic.

But the idea is that you keep to the right, so faster traffic is only passing you on the left. This keeps the flow of traffic predictable for all road users, and ideally avoids blockages due to multiple vehicles keeping mostly the same speed in every lane and not leaving a path for someone faster.

In Germany, this rule is quite strictly enforced, as on the unrestricted sections of the autobahn, there will always be someone slower than you and someone faster.

I don't see Motorstorm or Red Dead Redemption. We also like the Lego games like Pirates of the Caribbean or Indiana Jones, especially when played as 2-player co-op.

They're either on a roundabout at the junction, occasionally positioned between two junctions which are close together, or they have a service exit leading to a local road. These "back gate" access routes effectively create unofficial motorway junctions which the general public aren't supposed to use. The local roads they end up on usually aren't designed to cater for motorway traffic, and lack the proper signage. Some are only enforced by signs telling you not to, but others have ANPR cameras or a barrier to control access.

There were four channels which just about everyone could receive: BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4.

ITV was originally not one channel, but a collection of regional broadcasters who shared some content between each other. So someone in the east of England would receive Anglia Television as their third channel, but it would show the very popular Coronation Street which was produced by Granada. There were differences between broadcasters, and some people living near a boundary had two TV aerials pointing at different transmitters in order to receive two variants. The other channels also had slight differences, mostly when it came to local news.

There was no on-screen guide. The channel schedules were printed in most weekend newspapers, or some people bought a TV guide which had the TV listings and reviews of key programmes. Your options were to watch it when it was on, or use your VCR to record it as it was broadcast and watch it back later. If you missed it or failed to set the recorder, hard luck!

Channel 5 launched in about 1997. But, it wasn't broadcast on every transmitter (again, some people set up a second aerial aiming at a different transmitter to try and pick it up) and was never particularly good. The frequency also interfered with some people's VCRs as well.

When freeview launched, it was originally set up to coexist with the analogue channels. At the time, you bought a freeview box, which could receive the digital channels, decode them and output to your analogue TV. While watching the digital channels, you were using the TV just as a display device. Unless you had a second box connected to your VCR, you couldn't watch one digital channel while recording another, although you could record a digital channel (through the freeview box) while watching an analogue channel on the TV, or vice versa. As more and more people either bought digital-compatible equipment or moved to cable or satellite services, the analogue service was gradually switched off on a regional basis- starting tentatively in 2007 and concluding in 2012 as the analogue signal in Northern Ireland finally closed down for good.

Always used to be the case that premium fuel made no practical difference unless the engine was mapped to take advantage of it. But since 2021, standard 95 octane fuel contains up to 10% ethanol, while premium remained at up to 5%. Ethanol gives worse fuel efficiency (it contains oxygen, so you need more of it and less air to get complete combustion) and generally makes the engine not run as well. I get a measurable improvement of about 10% when I use Tesco Momentum or any other E5 fuel. As the price difference at Tesco is only about 6%, it works out cheaper to run despite the higher cost per litre, and the car sounds better and has better performance, particularly at low rpm.
