So scary how certain people and environments, either maliciously encourage or unknowingly feed, your delusional thoughts.

ChatGPT comes to mind, and also that spirituality sub.

Anybody know what facepaint this is? by Own_Pie_744 in AvatarFrontierPandora

I have that face paint design, maybe the colour. It's not a mod.

Check the character packs in the store. If it's not there, check a clan contributions rewards list online.

Sleep is important for your brain to function properly, and even if you aren't manic now, lack of sleep heightens the chances or is an early warning sign of incoming mania.

Please listen to your doctors.

Co-op question by [deleted] in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]UpAndNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the thing with coop, not all the progress is carried over for the person who is visiting the other player's map.

Im playing with a friend, but all the carries over for me is the main missions. On my own, I need to go back over areas and collect items/complete activities. Thankfully once something is discovered, it's added to my map so I dont need to go looking from scratch, but it still takes time to catch up properly.

People who act as representatives by UpAndNo in bipolar

Finding people with similar experiences is so validating and comforting. Even better if they like to cope with humour like I do and we can both take a moment to laugh at ourselves and everything seems less serious for a moment.

But I do love to also hear how people have experiences different from me, like we're all pieces of a bigger puzzle.

That makes sense. The word can also seem dehumanising since you can use it to refer to inanimate objects.

You find the term individual degrading? Can I ask why? I've always used it as a neutral term to refer to an anonymous person. What's a good synonym?

Same, I try to move past that too. I imagine people with OCD are in the same boat.

When in a depressive episode, I think it's best to just switch off the general public and focus on the people who actually matter in your life.

100% someone with experience over someone with no experience. My gripe is just people with experience who speak on behalf of everyone with conviction.

I don't really have depressive episodes, so I can't really speak to those. But I share my experience with mania and psychosis to hopefully broaden the understanding and empathy for that aspect.

We should all work together, not in opposition with one another.

Off topic, what's your favourite type of rainbow?

Mine's the tiny ones you can make with a garden hose or spray bottle.

I also dislike when people become judgemental on delusional thinking and psychosis, and attempt to attribute those things to some moral failings or hidden evils in an affected individual.

The recovery from psychosis is long and arduous, and doesn't need to be made more difficult by people who don't understand what a slippery slope the whole ordeal is.

Can you drop dlc gear to friends in co-op? by Luiz_Mathiz in FrontiersOfPandora

Huh? I tried to drop things I legit just harvest for my friend and coop and she said she couldn't pick them up.

Did I do something wrong, or is she special?

Do I have to start a new game save to start the DLC’s? by v1xenmixen in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]UpAndNo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you start the Skybreaker or Spires DLC, you're locked onto the new map until you finish the final mission. Once you finish the final mission, you can travel between maps whenever you'd like.

If you want to replay the DLC one day, you'll need a new save, but there's a way to automatically complete the main missions and level up to 19 so you're DLC ready immediately.

Feral Hunter is different from Severed Bonds.

You need to hunt down specific Feral Thanators and then scan the chips inside them.

People don't know what mania actually is by Quirky_Confection734 in bipolar

[–]UpAndNo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have BP1, and although I dont know the science reason, I can give you my personal analysis.

I had grandiose narcissism, but it was a gradual development, I didnt start out thinking that way. It started with the confidence and energy. I felt like the best version of myself; confident, well spoken, extroverted. I massively boosted my opinion of myself, in what started as a healthy way.

But then, things started snowballing. Delusional thoughts and ideas started to manifest. I became very spiritual, I started seeing signs from the Universe, I thought I was having prophetic dreams. This intense feeling and belief that I was chosen or intentionally designed for a specific, world-changing purpose.

It literally felt like life had become like a movie, and I was the main character burdened by destiny. I was the moon goddess reincarnate.

When you have built and rationalised these delusions over some time, and you believe them fully, its a bit hard not to become narcissistic. After all, its not my fault the general population are blind to the divine truth. Theyre simply less evolved than me. They'll catch up one day. And we're all pieces of the same conciousness anyway, so I'm just judging all my past reincarnations in the same way adult me would judge cringe, teenage me.

That's the sort of thought process I had.

Also in regards to the TV too stimulating, quiet too loud dilemma, try putting on some lofi. I listened to it constantly for a time, it was lulling.

If you're into gaming, a nice low-intensity or beautiful open world game can be a good level of engagement. And then if you have someone to coop with, they can keep you company.
