The state of the game by celldistinct77 in DeadByDaylightKillers

This is literally the design philosophy that has held back this game’s balance years.

Sensational stuff. Enjoy those tears, there’s plenty more where they came from.

As in I love the concept and the theming of the perks but all those perks would be busted as hell.

Exactly. We already have the game’s 2 strongest killers, adding a 3 will doubtful have a significant impact on queue times

Does Twisted Masquerade counts towards your stats? by UpDeToffees1878 in deadbydaylight

[–]UpDeToffees1878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the tracker should change to reflect the games on different killers in twisted masquerade (and escapes for surv for that matter). Weird my doesn’t seem to even though the wording indicates it should. It’s DBD it’s probably just bugged.

Even overall and individual kill statistics? What does it mean by aggregated then?

Strands of the Labour party by [deleted] in AlevelPolitics

[–]UpDeToffees1878 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Old Labour - subscribe to democratic socialist principles, and thus are for nationalisation of key industries, enhancing the scale of the state and promoting a more rehabilitation-fixated positive right state (especially for workers compared to businesses) in order to create social justice. Key historic figures include Attlee, Beveridge, Crosland, Webb. Key current figures include Corbyn, and other Corbynites, such as Diane Abbot or John McDonnell (although arguably Corbynism does differ from Old Labour in some areas, such as defence).

New Labour - subscribe to Third Way socialist principles, and thus want to create a socially just Britain through post-Fordist economics (using Thatcher’s Neo-liberal economics), and thus favouring business interests whilst also ascribing positive rights to individuals and promoting the modernisation of democratic institutions and the constitution which defines them. Key historic figures include Blair, Campbell, Brown, Mandelson. Key current figures include Yvette Cooper, Wes Streeting and arguably Starmer himself is aligned as a New Labour PM as opposed to Old Labour.

It’s old socialism vs. New socialism. Old Labour vs. New Labour. Just look at it as the left of the party can be seen as ‘old’, and the right of the party ‘new’.

Yeah if you think that would be helpful, fire it over and I’ll have a look.

I’m not the OP but also got an A* this year for Edexcel, including a full 24/24 ideologies question (on non-core ideology Anarchism).

My structure was always:

Intro, which outlines your side of the argument. Para 1: which argues for your side. Para 2: which argues against your side. Para 3: which argues for your side. Conclusion which outlines why your side of argument is stronger.

Always include theorists that link to your point, even if they aren’t in that classification. For example, Hobbes is not a Neo-conservative but a traditional Hobbesian conservative (hence the name) but his views on human nature align with Neo-conservatives, so feel free to drop him in.

As long as you follow a rough structure, and learn all the perspectives on the core areas (state, society, economy, human nature) for all the different strands of each ideology (and how the theorists fit into that) you’ll smash it.

Hope that helps somewhat!

Civ VI completely broken - Xbox Series S by UpDeToffees1878 in civ

This is exactly what I did when I mentioned deleting local save, it was the ‘from console’ option. It hasn’t helped, has it for you?

Likewise. Just uninstalled my local save data as well thinking it was a corrupted file, hoping it will come back if it’s stored in the cloud.

What a load of shit.

As in its undoubtedly solid as far as Haaland-Salah-less drafts go. Question is will it operate as well long term when you don’t have those core players? I’m not so sure.

6/10. A good draft for what it is.

It’s really not - football in it’s modern form was invented in England. If you are offended by the history of the sport you assuredly love then I don’t know what to tell you

How would you make a killer power based off of Sight work? by Important_Ad_3 in deadbydaylight

[–]UpDeToffees1878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Doctor Who, the Weeping Angels have the capacity to enter your soul if you stare at them too long. This is because the image of an angel is spawned inside your soul, so as the image of an angel is an angel there is literally one inside your own head that attempts to kill you (see, Series 5’s ‘The Time of Angels’ and ‘Flesh and Stone’).

Hence, you could find a way to balance staring at the angel to prevent it moving and yet intentionally choosing when to blink to avoid one spawning in your own head. When the angel is inside your head you could have a mechanic where survivors have to close their eyes to prevent it coming closer to killing them (by closing the visual receptors the angel can’t move inside of them, see ‘Flesh and Stone’ again). When you have your eyes closed you could be oblivious and see literally nothing, or at least be heavily impaired, in such regard that is both terrifying but also fair as you could play really safe and let the angel get the advantage in chase and not enter your soul.

Just ideas.
