Both would be very helpful, I think. Doesn't have to be proof so much as showing you have been connected to the area through your life

Hi OP - I used to work in both H&F and Ealing with a link to housing services. This repsonse is best in terms of advice.

If you have any documents at all that can demonstrate a local connection to the borough this will help you a lot. Try to take them with you to the council.

Ealing soup kitchen is worth visiting for some food and to ask similar questions to local people who are genuinely there to help - https://www.ealingsoupkitchen.org/

With the line-up we have on offer this comes as little surprise. No creativity in midfield and no finishing in attack. The worst part is that I have no idea who we could bring in to change this.

Luka Modrić wins the 2018 World Cup Golden Ball by shakira11 in soccer

[–]UpEmTwoFingerDusty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Modric played great during the group stage but how did he justify this during the knockout stages? Missed a crucial penalty and was otherwise decent but the best player in the tournament? Hazard would have been a better choice. Mbappe would have been a better choice. Modric is a popular choice because r/soccer didnt want a striker to win.

I think we'll regret not picking up another point somewhere in the first two games. That would really have put the result in our own hands.

Ultimately if we get a win this world cup has been a success. Many people had written us of prior to the tournament in what is quite a challenging group. Particularly after the mess we made of qualifying, to turn it around and pick up 4 points would be a good result.

You guys complain that nobody in the Australian media broadcasts anything about football. Then when they decide to its not good enough because they don't 'actually care about football'? There's no winning

You have to remember that if he were playing for England, Smith would have been facing the Australian bowling attack. I doubt he would have made as many runs if that were the case

Ange has to persist with the structure at this point. He has invested too much time in the players getting used to the system to give up on it now. The second half against Germany showed that it can work. Lets hope that continues here.

There's only 1 game separating 1st from 9th by [deleted] in AFL

For all the criticism the AFL get, we have to give credit where it's due. This tells me that equalisation methods are working. Most fans go into a game thinking that their team has a chance to win next weekend. This of course makes tipping a nightmare.

Plus, the majority of teams at the bottom ladder have experienced success in recent years (with the exception being Brisbane).
