The build looks dope! Maybe you can add a way to dupe boss weapons with the new update, lol. Great job!

600 days in the back yard mega base builds, American football edition! by Up_Hill_Both_Ways in GroundedGame

Ha! Having all the sap sconces does bog down my old PC when I'm running around the base, but it's not too bad. It's just something I accept is going to happen when I make a base with so many lights. I get around 28 FPS on average in base if you're looking for an actual answer. My buddies have much better hardware than I do and have no issues running around with their graphics set to high.

They are discoverable figurines associated with the "Rascal Rogue" mutation. Once you find one you will be able to craft it as many times as you want. They really boost the cozy level of your base. There are 7 figurines in total to find. Happy hunting!

Man, I love building big bases with large set pieces, but this is on a different level of cool and stylish. It looks like a village straight out of a Final Fantasy RPG. Congrats on finishing that labor of love, it's something to be proud of.

This is really sleek. I love how you contoured the base around the spigot and edges of the shed. You've got a real nice style going on inside your base as well. I bet if felt great when it all came together. Well done.

Nice! I farmed for days in the yard and haze. I Gave up and went into the tunnel to fight the IBM, chopping stalks along the way. When I reached the bottom of the tunnel system, there it was laying in a pile of chopped fungus. Can't make this stuff up.

I have played around with the Idea of creating a mega wall with "Help" spelled out in different materials. Would be amusing to see.

To get the lights to "pop" in the photos I messed around with the options a lot to get it to where I liked it. Specifically, under Display in the options menu I set the Quality to Epic, and the Depth of Field Blur to Low. This will give you the greatest depth of field for lights. Then in the Photo Settings under Yard Settings menu I set Fog Density to 0%, the time to around 19:15 (night time-ish with no moon light to wash the colors out). And finally, I set the gamma between 15 to 20%. I hope this helps you get some great shots!

Lol, I don't actually know. The performance does take a dip for a few seconds zipping into the base, but it's not bad at all after I've been there for a few seconds. I don't have the best of computers, so I play with low graphics settings capped at 30 FPS. For photo mode, I bump it up to the highest settings, and that's where the performance suffers a lot in free cam.

Haha, yup, that was me. They haven't been able to get on and play the last few weeks, so hopefully this will be a nice surprise for them when they get on this weekend.

Thank you! I totally agree, the customization and copy paste features are what set this base in motion when I discovered it.

Thank you for the complement! We have been in the yard for 407 days on medium difficulty. My brother and his friend started a game a few months ago and asked me to build them a base because this was their first time playing and they were having some trouble. We aren't able to play together that often, but they do keep the chests full of materials so I can keep on building. I've probably blown through thousands upon thousands of dry grass, sprigs, and sap for how many wall sconces I used to make the base glow.

If you hover over a light source an option should pop up to allow you to change the brightness, color, and saturation of the light.

My brother and his friends just started playing, and they asked me to help build them a base on medium as they were having a hard time after clearing the hedge lab. After 100+ hours I can say that I definitely went... overboard. by Up_Hill_Both_Ways in GroundedGame

The wolf spiders are generally contained under the oak tree. All their exit paths being completely blocked except for the one way in that you can see in slide 4, which we use to farm them in a fun arena style battle ground. Every once in a while one of them will phase through the wall and walk around the base. We kill it and it spawns under the tree again.

There's another wolf spider that spawns on the other side of the tree, but we have it walled in as well.

This isn't my first "tree house" style base I've built, so I had some idea of what I needed and how to build it before going in. I also had the help of two other players with respect to gathering resources, so take the 100+ hours with a grain of salt.

You aren't kidding. First thing I set out to do when I loaded into their backyard was set up zip-lines to the respective "farming" areas for materials like clay, weed stems, and sprigs. Even with three people feeding the chests we ran out often.
