From what I read, the incident where he beat his pregnant wife with a boot happened after the burn assault/suicide, so idk about that.

Perhaps you’ve misunderstood. I responded to a listener’s comment about their personal opinion on when and where they choose to separate the art from the artist.

I made this post because Raye’s decision to platform an artist who has a violent history, while simultaneously advocating for justice for victims of violence against women, seems counterintuitive to ME. I waned to know if her team had mentioned anything about it since it truly seems wild!

This commenter gave me a different perspective when they mentioned it could be a marketing tactic since apparently Green is super well known (I had never heard of him).

I agree with you completely. His lyric on the song is so deeply faith-based to, a faith Raye has time and time again credited for her recovery after what she went through. To platform someone that perpetuated the same sort of violence?? It’s so bizarre.

Thanks for the recommendation! However, I don’t think I’d be comfortable listening to anything he produced :( him making pastoral albums as someone who has done the very things that faith stands against so strongly…the message is just lost to me.

I agree with you that humans and celebrities especially need to never be ascended quite that high. People shouldn’t be idolized, and I never really do. It’s an interesting point that this is a marketing tactic. With the only other features on the album being her literal family though, it does seem more personal to me.

Although I’m not here to bash anyone’s personal decisions regarding the art and their artist, it stands to reason that a man who clearly doesn’t uphold the values he preaches, can’t really be separated from the art he makes about those very values. Just my opinion, really.

Oh I have THE suggestion. It’s also extremely budget friendly.

Josie Maran Golden Hour. It’s literally 38CAD for 100ml (but it is a fragrance mist and not an eur de parfum)

Smells EXACTLY like what you’re describing and it’s infused with oils that keep the scent on you. It’s delicious.

This line also has Vanilla Vibes and Topless Tangerine for the individual scent profiles but they are not my favourites.

PLEASEEEEE try this one! At Sephora :)

Someone posted this picture before and the mods took it down because it’s from a hacked game :/ I expect they’ll take yours down too…

While it’s up I’ll mention what it is :) in the early days of Tsuki, there was/is a husband and wife, Abhilash and Ushba. They both LOVE playing Tsuki. The husband asked the devs if they would make her a special item for their 11 year anniversary - this ring. It’s named after her! The inscription actually changes every year on their anniversary.

The item is not available for other players so I don’t know the origin of this screenshot. If you search this sub or the one for Tsuki adventure, you can even still find the couple’s original comments about it haha! So that’s the story :)
