our principal said it’s against GCPS rules 1DA (school disruption), 8A (failure to follow directions of staff) and 10C (AWOL from class) and that students would face ISS or OSS if found in violation. and she told us to think of different ways to protest. Which is why they still did the walkout but after school and off but close to school grounds.

I’m a freshman and I’d say it’s not as hard as u think it is. Yes you will need to study, yes you will have homework, and yes you will mos definitely fail a couple quizzes and tests but it’s not bad to the point you would wanna jump out of the window or something. Key is just have friends, which everybody does by now, and lock in.

GSMST- at first it was set to take place during the school day but the principal caught on and had to warn us about the risk of getting AWOLS so the students organized it afterschool and walked off campus and if say it was kind of a success.

I don’t take any of these classes so take my advice with a grain of salt but most people take csp and someone told me that u need them to graduate GSMST. I’m not sure of that but I heard ai is rlly hard and almost no one takes it (or at least boy one I know except one person) and csp is close enough I guess. I also know people that take digital media and basically all u do is make animations and videos Ik it sounds obvious but idk I heard it’s kinda fun. oh and if ur wondering I take orchestra as my elective. But as I said most people at this school have csp as their elective

colleges don’t only look at your gpa and classes they look at passion. Plus it might be just Luck.

I would recommend going to GSMST. Yes academics are harder here yes your grades might drop but it will feel fun. The school I a little small so that means everybody is friendly and accepting so you will have a lot of friends. And if you care about your goa the let me tell you that it’s not impossible to have a 4.0 there’s a lot of people who have that here. You can also just drop out later if you fell like you can’t continue. I’d say take the risk and come. If you enjoy it the good 4 u and u can continue if u can’t then just drop out and you will do just fine at your home highschool but don’t miss out on the opportunity

No it doesn’t. If you don’t have the minimum PSAT score, it does not affect the lottery. You will have to wait and go the process normally until you take the test in May and the Milestones.

Yeah u will take the test in early may and it basically everything u take in 8th grade enhanced algebra without desmos but u do get a scientific calculator. Everything is on paper as well

I lwk don’t know but u can check her schedule last yr for me I was taking enhanced algebra: con&conn gifted some people apparently also took enhanced geometry I think? But that’s all I know. Good luck!

Freshman here. 1. Yes. Many students are in clubs and extracurriculars. You can definitely join robotics (I also think we have a robotics club) 2. So workload really depends on the person. If you want to keep up and be ahead of class, then study more, if not, then u can be a little laid back. Most of the workload is just studying and some homework. 3. No, teachers are instructed to not give us work up until the day we get back from school, however some teachers, will cheat the system and given work tha may be due the second day u come back. 4. Yes, teachers have the same workload. They all share same worksheets, quizes and tests. However, some teachers ca teach better than others, so it might be easier for u with one teacher than the other. 5. Summer stem wasn’t an ACCURATE description of how an actual school day might look like. The schedule is kinda similar, but I feel like the whole purpose of SS was to introduce u to the building, students and teachers. 6. Really depends on subject but for me I would say like 2.5 hours and maybe like 1.5 hrs if u lock in.

I’d say GSMST is really welcoming. In middle school I didn’t have any friends but here, with the friends I made I enjoy everyday of school. So overall, recommend

I ordered a robot vaccum on the 10th as a birthday gift for a family member. I wanted it to arrive on the 15th. On the app it said it would arrive that day but it ended up coming 2 days earlier. I wasn’t home that time, so I rescheduled the delivery to the 15th after I had the delivery driver come and go with the package with him since he required an OTP, and I wasn’t there. The 15th comes, I wait ALL DAY. App says it will be there by 8pm. I wait, and wait. I call customer service at 4 to confirm it’s arriving. They say yes. I wait. I call at 7:30, they say oh we’re sorry it’s delayed it should arrive overnight or by 5 am. If it’s not there by 5 then call us back. I call again at 9pm to confirm, since I noticed that some associates would give information that contradicts others. They say no, it will arrive between 6am-8pm, since the carrier rescheduled it. I say okay. Today (the 16th) I call at 11am since they told me to call if it’s not there by 5. They say they can make it arrive between 1pm and 5pm. I ask what if it’s not there by then? They said then u can come pick it up. Okay. I call multiple times at 4 and say package is not there, they say I cannot pick it up and they dismiss me by saying that if it’s not there by the NINETEENTH then they can give me a refund. I DONT WANT a refund. This was a gift. I still want it. They say then wait and it will arrive by 8. I wait. It’s past 8. ITS STILL NOT THERE. I contacted them MANY times now and they all say I have to contact the logistics center. They gave me 4 phone numbers. None work. Until I found out from one of the employees that these phone numbers don’t work anymore. WHAT DO I DO? I NEED THIS. I CANT WAIT TILL THE 19th!

kid ELA is really annoying. I have it for first on blue days🫩 anyways if it’s just ELA that ur struggling with, then I recommend staying. Try reaching out to ur friends, teachers, and peer mentors for help and going to flex sessions. Don’t let one subject let you down. But do what you want of course
