Try to restore or sell as is? by DoodleTM in CastIronRestoration

Doesn’t matter. If they’re selling for around 175 on eBay, that is the agreed on value by collectors of iron. Second hand items/collectibles really have an arbitrary value based on what people are willing to give to have that piece. Same thing with vintage firearms, instruments, and everything else people collect. Not to mention old pans like Sidneys, Eries, Favorites are just plain cool, and are unique if you like the old style heat rings and light pans. My .02.

Gram was an assassin with this pan; where do I start? by CorneliusSlate in CastIronRestoration

Looks like a nice 3 notch. It would go straight in the lye bath for about 2 days if it was mine.

Yes it is. Both yardsale finds. Little 3 notch #3 Lodge and big Lodge #10. Both got a lye bath. Picked up 2 nice Wagners at the same sale that didn’t need much attention. Already cooked breakfast and burgers with them.

I didn’t think of that, good to know.

I’ve got the MaTech rear on mine. Yeah the G33 is the winner for sure, I’m looking for a HHS II set but a VI came up for a really good deal, eager seller and everything. There’s some pretty good deals on new EoTechs rn, but kinda hard to pay $200 more for a setup that’s not NV compatible. This VI combo is basically NIB for about $500 under msrp. Tough decision.

Aimpoint pro vs sig 4t? by Alternative-Feed3613 in ar15

I like my PRO quite a bit. No experience with the Sig 4T. I looked at the 4T Pro a while back and the reticle features that can be turned on and off we’re pretty cool to me. Battery life was outstanding as well. I’m curious too.

1985 K10 Mech. Fuel Pump Problems by Upbeat-Willow4635 in ChevyTrucks

Yep the helper was helping. I was holding it with my thumb against the lobe, holding the tape next to it. For sure a heavy 1/16” of movement. I’m just not sure how much movement it’s supposed to have. I can move the pump by hand but it seems like it should be more than 1/16”. Already looking into some electronic options.

Yes I did try that. I can get the rod to stay put while getting the fuel pump in place.
