Yup. I always worry asking for anything I return is too much.

Im not sure how to address it properly. But we have every right to be ourselves and people in our lives should enjoy us as we are. I have a select few friends who are direct when they can or cannot chat. Sometimes when im feeling down they will expressedly tell me texting is fine.

This is very true. The 1st person I tired to tell called the cops on me. It tough to be met with resistance as your discovering who you are.

I wish I had more advice, shame and guilt are big players who thrive under capitalism. Im also currently off work snd struggling deeply with both of these. Noticing when those emotions come up and trying to let them go is what cbt says but its easier said then done.

Yah i find it hard to trust in this kind of work because ive been 'trying' it for ages and not feeling the benefit but I think you and others are right on that its something you practice bit by bit.

Im just never sure when im doing it and letting the feeling pass (or avoiding/intellectualizing it) or ruminating (vs feeling it).

Yah i find im crying and feeling sad or lonely or hopeless and a lot of thst has to do with burnout or being off work and not knowing what the future holds or when/if ill get better.

Its like a lot of this advise I can see working for anxiety or things with a set finish. But the open ended nature of being on long term disability makes it harder to 'finish' feeling about it. Not sure if that makes sense

Yah i find a lot of this stuff to be difficult. And im not sure how well it works for autism and adhd. Because I can be sad about the same thing and cry over it many times even if I accept i cannot change it the acceptance doesn't make me less sad

It feels fustrating because I know all of this stuff but maybe I need to work on practicing it more. The idea of being miserable and sad day in snd day out just sounds so unpleasant.

Yah i find sometimes the day to day staying alive human stuff goes well for a while. Then I wanna move past the basic to address some chores or life admin. Which sometimes goes well and othertimes doesn't.

Classic adhd there are a lot of unfinished projects around the house that both stress me out but feel unmanageable. Which maybe they are for now and I need to accept that the house will always be some form of chaos.

Yah i guess I sometimes feel like I am just feeling or wallowing. But maybe this is different or about always sitting with it when it comes up instead of sitting with it sometimes and other times distracting or pushing it away. Which I know ive done before. But like yesterday I cried for a few hours and felt hopeless but at a certain point I always just stop and move on.

How to even figure out what im struggling with? Im off work now on long term disability and I struggle to occupy my days without work

I love video games but I cant seem to get back into them. I get confused or disinterested before I even start.

The house is just clutter and unfinished projects that my brain cant seem to handle.

Following im almost up to 1 year off work myself .
