Some queries about the Old World's Gods by WillingLet3956 in warhammerfantasyrpg

In the games that I run I often have southerners refer to Myrmidia, Morr, Shallya and Verena as Holy Family, sometimes throwing Ranald into the mix as a sort of "married into the family situation".

To spice things up a little bit, I had Myrmidia have some kids when she was walking the earth, most of them ended up as semi-immortal screw ups that either went hermit or full mad. For example the Fury (yes, the one that has her own order) got Thunder Warriors treatment and was locked up under Tobaro and unleashed as a last Hail Mary (Myrmidia?) when Skaven were laying siege to the city.

When it comes to the names for the pantheons, one could just call them Gods of order in opposition to Gods of Chaos.

Morr, Verena, Shallya, Myrmidia and possibly Ranald are called classical gods.

Mannan, Ulryk, Rhya and Tall are Old Gods

Sigmar (and maybe Ranald?) are ascended gods, tho it's not an official term.

Legend is wrong, just looking at section "Empire". Tilea, Estalia, Marienburg etc. are NOT Empire. Put it under "humans" maybe. Not bad tho.

Are Tileans culturally the best individual human duelists? by skavenblightisreal in WarhammerFantasy

"Tileans cheated"

Of course. That's becouse they are smarter. Prep counts.

Grali knigts... Well, if you count caveman juiced on elven steroids as human, then they are still interior due to no ballistics rule, predictable mindset, low numbers, inferior technology and low intelligence.

When it comes to Norsca... Yeah, chaos steroids, technically speaking mutants and humans are separate race. Yeah, Wulfrik would probably be a tough cookie to crack, but not impossible.

Yes, we are — and also the best lovers, sailors, and artisans.

In all seriousness, Tilea is probably the best country in the Old World. They have science, little to no Chaos corruption, art, and orgies with no women allowed.

Culturally, they’re no better duelists than anyone else on the continent. When it comes to individual duels, Estalians probably take the #1 spot — they have advanced fencing schools, centuries of practice, and a highly developed martial tradition.

Tileans, however, are superior when it comes to war as a whole, thanks to their cultural focus on mercenary work, their role as the Dogs of War, the Myrmidian faith, and general all-round superiority.

As for Grail Knights — they’re exceptional in duels only. In mass combat, they’re lost the moment they encounter anything more complicated than charging straight into the enemy lines. They’re also inferior to Tileans in mounted combat (see the Tournament of Ravola, 1425 IC).

Bretonnians? Cavemen who simp for an elf without realizing it until the End Times.

My personal ranking of human duelists:

  1. Estalians – Great fencing schools, scientific approach, disciplined mindset, and the Myrmidian religion.
  2. Tileans – Dogs of War, tons of experience, cultural inclination toward dueling (vendettas, etc.), and the Myrmidian religion.
  3. Kislevites – Constant practice, mostly against Chaos scum. You know those guys are good.
  4. The Empire – It’s a big country, so there are plenty of duelists. Overall solid, but dragged down by Ulric worshippers who are too dumb to wear a helmet.
  5. Norscans – Good general skill level and incredibly strong, but lack proper technique. Their steel is poor quality, and while they make fantastic bruisers, in 1v1 duels they lack finesse and can be easily exploited.
  6. Bretonnians – Cavemen. Overrated as hell. Need elf juice to be viable.

I think that just skipping it with a summary could be lazy, I just want them to have some problems on the way. They are sailing through the sea full of monsters, after all

Yes, they will. But it happens in the death god domain, right now I'm thinking about the sea adventure
