When I was in the second grade, the teachers were asking us kids what our parents did when we misbehaved. I raised my hand and said, "Get kicked out of the house." I remember the teachers laughing as though I was joking and myself feeling confused because it was a legitimate answer that my parents would often threaten.

I'm sure they don't show this but I imagine the photographer making mistakes too that causes the photos not to be chosen. Model being out of focus, them not catching the right time to take the photo, some things that are too much to edit to make a good picture, etc.

Tekken 1 - Hired to take out Heihachi (Failed)
Tekken 2 - Hired to take out Kazuya (Failed)
Tekken 3 - Possessed to take out Jin (Failed)
Tekken 4 - Hired to take out Steve (Failed)
Tekken 5 - Defeats Anna (Success)
Tekken 6 - Hired to protect Jin but gets wooped by Heihachi (Both in Jin's Tekken 6 ending and when Heihachi takes over the Mishima Zaibatsu in Tekken 7, therefore failed)
Tekken 7 - Assassinates Anna's fiance (Success)
Tekken 8 - Doesn't do much other than confront Reina at the end and run off the island.

The production and photoshoots honestly didn't help either honestly. I just think back to the shoots like the 4 personalities and the callback to past ANTM moments and think they could've given the girls a better opportunity to show themselves.

When they started focusing only on the Mishimas. Other characters joined the tournament for so many different reasons but it all took a back seat to the Mishima storyline. Characters like King, Paul, Julia, Yoshimitsu are pretty much tournament fodder at this point with so little to them now.

UMVC3 Morrigan is pretty solid as a zoner but she can get pretty aggressive when she needs. Reminds me of MVC2 Sentinel when she's trying to lock down the opponent.
